Our family stayed here for 4 nights while touring Tokyo. Hotel was clean, quiet, and hotel staff were friendly and helpful (let us check our luggage when we arrived early, gave restaurant recommendations, etc.). There is laundry (washers and dryers) in this hotel on the first floor, coin operated, and also a water fill station. Hotel is within 5-10 minutes walking distance of multiple train stations that will take you to all of Tokyo from anywhere from zero to two transfers, so a great home base when touring the city. Plenty of good shopping within walking distance also, including grocery stores, 7-Elevens, etc. Nice to have a kitchen in the room with a 4-person dining table, microwave, tea kettle, rice cooker, medium sized fridge/freezer, and a cooktop. Room was stocked with pot/pan, silverware, plates, cups, mugs, etc. We will definitely stay with this hotel chain again when we return to Tokyo as it was a great experience!
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel as a family of four. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable for the whole family. What really made our stay special was the variety of activities provided for families and children. The hotel organized fun events such as bingo, which our kids thoroughly enjoyed. On a rainy day, they even offered a complimentary keychain-making activity, which was a thoughtful touch and kept the children entertained. A special thank you to Seira, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Her warm hospitality made us feel truly welcome and added to our overall experience. Overall, this is an excellent family-friendly hotel with great service, comfortable accommodations, and engaging activities for kids. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to families visiting the area.
The hotel is great and helped me experience my first trip to Japan with clean and spacious rooms. It has multiple types of rooms, and is great for bigger families. Our room had fridge, microwave, and even a stove. It also had a small eating area. The shower/sink was seperate from the bathroom. It is in a great location in between Ueno and Akihabara, there is plenty of shopping and food within 15 minutes walking of this location. Plus, multiple stations within 5-10 minutes that can take you anywhere. The area felt safe and a train from Narita (skyline- about 2600 yen) took us to Ueno which was about a 7 minute walk and doable even with some luggage. We took a van to Haneda Airport because we had a lot more luggage and there was typhoon jangmi when we left. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have activities and small prizes for kids (such as bingo card for activities done in Tokyo) Overall, I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay in the area. While researching, they have many different locations in Tokyo. If I visit again, I would highly consider staying here again.
We had a great stay at Mimaru Ueno Okachimachi as a family of four with adult kids. The room setup was perfect—having four twin beds and a kitchenette made it really comfortable and practical for us. The beds were on the firmer side, which we were OK with, though the pillows were a bit too small and soft for our preference. The location is a huge plus—super convenient with easy access to the Skyliner Express for airport transfer from Narita. The hotel luggage delivery service saved us from dragging our luggages to and from airport. The staff were consistently warm and welcoming, always greeting us with a smile. We also loved that we could easily walk to Ueno Park to catch the Sakura festival. Plus, nearby train stations made it simple to get to places like Asakusa, Ginza, Shibuya, and Nakameguro.
Thank you for having us as guests and for the wonderful stay. There were several things we loved about our room that I would like to share: Room: 1) It was very spacious and nice to have a room with separate beds for our entire family of four. 2) Mini kitchen: having a room with a fridge, freezer, microwave, and stove seemed a litte excessive at first but we ended up using all of them. 3) Room was clean and nicely styled Service: 1) Our interactions with the hotel staff, especially the front desk were very positive and felt very personalized. They provided great recommendations for both dining and activities. The hand drawn profiles in the elevator is a creative way to introduce the staff. Thank you to Dong, Aika, and Uraru for helping us with recommendations, activities and helping set up our luggage delivery to Narita Airport. Location: 1) near multiple main train stations 2) near police station which made it feel very safe 3) near great dining options all within walking distance 4) near activities such as Ueno zoo or department stores for shopping and dinning. Overall: We enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable. We would love to stay here again in the future.
