I dunno, I'm pretty torn on this place. You get what you pay for but it could have been a lot nicer with minimal effort. Pros: Front desk was very nice during the day, a little ruder at night. Very clean. The people who were staying there were nice and respectful, but your milage may very. Cons: No locked way to store luggage before check in. Didn't provide a key to the lock box in my pod so there was virtually no way to secure my belongings. There are no hooks! Your pod has a single hook in it. None of the 2'x2' restrooms or sinks had hooks to hold your belongings. The curtains on my pod were a bit broken making them difficult to open and close. One of the bidets didn't work One of the dryers didn't work (they warn you about taking out the lint which I did, but I tried twice, that dryer definitely does not work) Additionally for the laundry, you have to buy detergent at the front desk, but nowhere in the instructions on how to use the washing machine does it say that. Finally, the washing machine requires exactly 7x100 yen coins and good luck finding that as a foreigner. The hostel was mostly empty when I arrived, yet they placed me in this very awkward, middle of the hallway spot which was very uncomfortable. If I'd be placed in a corner it probably would have been a much better experience.

A good place to stay in Tokyo. Exceptionally amiable staff. Would recommend the dorm over a private 2-p room, it is more spacious. We were there end of June and the ladies dorm was quiet, only one other person there.

Place was awesome. I was skeptical because of the distance but it was seriously convenient to be able to jump on a quick 6min bus to Shibuya. A lot of comments are saying that the staff were rude but I just want to highlight that there was one worker when I arrived (didn’t get his name) to check in and he was the coolest bloke I’ve met yet. Asked me what my plans were for the day and if I wanted to play a quick card game together. So hospitable and the happy hour is seriously something to try out. $3 Asahi is insanely awesome. Beds were comfy and is awesome for a layover stay for a night or two! I’d come back.

Located in a walkable distance from Shibuya Crossing. The atmosphere was good. The beds and bathrooms were clean. 24h open for hostelers.

Wise Owl Shibuya is very conveniently placed. I can bounce out of there to my needed stations with haste. The crew is superb and very welcoming. They have always made me feel at home and like I was more than just a guest. Each member of the team brings something different to the table with enthusiasm and kindness. When I return to Tokyo I make an effort to stay here purely because I enjoy the crew so much. The price is always of great value.
