Lobby and rooms have AC/Heat. It switches when they deem it necessary. Outside the rooms is open air, at least in the summer. AC was a little weak for me personally, but it cooled the room down. The room was clean. Right next to a station. As a foreigner, I appreciated the tips from the TV screen. Has self-check in, and self-check out.
The check in was pleasant and even though the process could be done by the guest themselves on check in machines, the staff were willing to help to make the process even more friction-less. It was Adeel, who helped us, he went above and beyond, and took time to meet our requests. It is without a question that his help and professionalism improved the stay. The rooms themselves are selected as average and not lower as they come as depicted on the website. The location was wonderful - and despite that we didn't use it - I can appreciate all the guides displayed on the desk and TV home screen. An add could be about earthquakes; what to expect.
This is my last stay before going home, I changed hotel at afternoon around 1200 with my heavy luggages. They are so welcome and well prepared for my arrival. I got my room key and could lay down on the bed at 1215💓💓💓. The housekeeper were so well done for the cleaning, equipments, bed and towels are so ready!! I was so lucky enough to stay here, near the Park, the museum, JR and the market for breakfast or souvenirs. Don't forget to walk around 15 mins to the shopping mall called松坂屋, there have a fresh fish, grills and sushi at the basement. Highly recommend to visit before leave🥰🥰
Perfect location as it's located right across Ueno Station (Keisei Skyliner) and the green space. The rooms are as usual in citys relatively small but there is still enough space to open up a suitcase on the floor. I was surprised how quite it was at night. The only disappointment was the fact that I was not able to store my luggage at the hotel for several days. I stayed for 1 night and then booked another room 3 days later and they did not allow me to leave my suitcase at the hotel. I therefore had to look for a baggage service on short notice, which was frustrating. They could have mentioned this on the booking confirmation or while checking in, as other APA hotels in Tokyo already offered me this baggage service in the past.
I know Japanese hotel room can be petite sized but oof, this one tops the cake in terms of being small. Despite booking a double bed room, we were given a single double sized bedroom with barely enough space between the table and the bed. Normally APA hotel bed is elevated to store your luggage underneath, but not this one. Between having to store luggages whereever we could, there's really no room to rest other than on bed and a single chair. Refrigerator worked well and their bathroom was its usual functional with odd door sill that you need to remember. Our bed room faced towards Ameyoko and Skytree instead of the park.
