The rooms were clean and everything worked as expected. As a westerner, you gotta love the bides. We didn’t interact much with staff as we were in and out so often but check in was simple. We had a suite since there were 3 of us. I know this will sound strange but the best part was the ice and water machine. It was summer during our stay and getting that ice before we headed out was lifesaver. I’d say the location was okay. You are about 2 blocks from some great shopping and about a 30 minute walk to the Palace gardens which I recommend. Everywhere else you’ll need a cab or uber. They did provide kimonos during your stay which was nice when you had to step outside your room in the evening to grab some water.
Very easy convenient location to jump on the metro. There is a nice ramen place that is connected to the hotel. Rooms are a little strange with toilets flushing for a long time and shower have a few extra dials than you really need. You do get a set of long Marriott Japanese style PJs to sleep in. There is an airport limousine bus that will stop right in front of this hotel for pick up service. Ver convenient for travels. Other than that it's just your standard Marriott hotel next to AC and Aloft series.
Overall ok, but what genius came up with idea of a toilet stall in the bathroom with clear glass doors? What possible purpose could that serve? Then those glass doors are so big they leave enough room for a Japan size person to walk through, western size person will squeeze through sideways. The room is large by japanese standards with small windows which let just enough light in for a few hours to make the room look bright in the photo. And why does marriott show us 4 pictures of the room including only one view of the room, two of the bathroom and one of room service breakfast on the table. Why not more views of this $500+ per night room?
Convenient location in Ginza. Rooms are quiet and not within earshot of the train which is nice. There's options for amenities on site. I didn't use any but they looked nice. The rooms are fine. Nothing glamorous but clean and the beds were comfy. The only downside was the tub/shower. Nearly impossible to use the shower without water going all over the bathroom floor.
A great hotel with even better location. As a titanium elite member, I was immediately recognized upon check-in and received all benefits. The size of the rooms were fairly large compared to Japanese hotel standards. For two people we had ample amount of space in our room. The water pressure in the shower was great and absolutely appreciated after coming back from long days of exploring the city. The buffet breakfast was also up to my standards as it provided authentic Japanese foods along with Western foods as well. I will definitely come back for future stays.
