The staff is respectful and extremely nice.. The hotel is beautiful and cleanand the rooms are spacious. Perfectly located near all the best shopping and food. We were able to walk everywhere. My family and I will continue to stay here every time we come back to Tokyo.
Our first time visiting Japan and it was so incredible. The Dai-ichi Hotel Tokyo is such a wonderful property and centrally located near subway stations and even has an underground connection to the subway. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. They even provided us umbrellas for the rainy days. We will definitely come back to Japan and will stay here once again. We stayed on the 17th floor and the views were wow 🙌🙌🙌
From the moment our taxi pulled up to Dai-ichi, I knew I was going to love this hotel. A kind doorman immediately greeted us, loaded our luggage onto a cart and helped bring it up to our rooms. To our surprise, the front desk was able to accommodate a set of connecting rooms for the four of us on the ninth floor (which is the lowest level that has rooms). We really appreciated that! Something interesting we learned: The lights to each room require a keycard entry to activate, so you can’t just enter via the connecting door expecting the lights for both rooms to work. BEDROOM: Rather than having one queen bed, two full-sized beds were pushed together, which I much preferred! For storage, a set of drawers were next to each bed and there was also a small closet with a full-length mirror. We appreciated having a small refrigerator to store some fruit and yogurt for each morning’s breakfast. As an extra bonus, we had a nice view of Tokyo Tower in the distance! BATHROOM: The room was pretty spacious with a full tub, shower, and bidet. The sink area was elegant, and we were provided with amenities such as razors, hairbrushes, toothbrushes, lotion and toner. We only opted for cleaning once during our four-day stay, but they have a rule that housekeeping must service the room every three days regardless of if you request it or not. The only thing was that one elevator was undergoing maintenance at the time. Understood that the upkeep is for safety purposes, but there is only one set of three elevators that accessed floors with the rooms. With one of them unavailable, that left just two of them operating between floors 9-21. On numerous occasions, by the time the elevators reached us on floor 9, it was too full for us to enter. This didn’t put a damper on our stay and we were open to using the stairs if needed, but that was a minor inconvenience we faced. Being just a couple blocks from Shimbashi Station, and within walking distance of Ginza and the Tsukiji Fish Market, this hotel is in a prime location. I wish we had time to try out one of their restaurants or the afternoon tea in their elegant lobby… so perhaps next time! I would 100% stay here again if I’m in Tokyo!
I simply couldn't believe the exceptional service I received here. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, paying meticulous attention to every detail. During check-in, I forgot something, and while one staff member was showing me around the room, another immediately brought it to my belongings (by about a minute). As I left, three staff members surrounded me, bowing and bidding me farewell, ready to offer any assistance I might need. There were so many other wonderful experiences as well. This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at in Japan. I've already recommended Dai-ichi hotel to my friends, and I will definitely stay here again if circumstances allow. What a wonderful experience!
