Four Points Flex by Sheraton Tokyo Ueno

Unfortunately, my stay at Four Points Flex by Sheraton Tokyo Ueno was quite disappointing, and I do not feel it offers good value for money. The location was also not as convenient as I expected. It is at least a 15-minute walk from the nearest train station, with a significant portion of the walk being completely unsheltered. This was particularly inconvenient when carrying luggage or during bad weather. Compared with many local hotels in Tokyo, I found the location to be considerably less convenient. The hotel is also very expensive for what it offers. For a similar price, there are many local hotels that provide much more spacious rooms, are significantly cheaper, and are located much closer to train stations. The room here was very small and felt rather cramped, with limited space for luggage and movement. As a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum member, I was also disappointed with the recognition of elite benefits. The hotel did not provide complimentary breakfast as a Platinum benefit, and the standard 4pm late checkout was also not honoured. After I explained my situation and repeatedly requested it, the hotel eventually offered me a 2pm late checkout as a special arrangement.
Our stay at Four Points Flex by Sheraton Tokyo Ueno was excellent! The hotel was exceptionally clean, modern, and in the perfect location for exploring Tokyo. Being so close to Ueno Station made getting around the city incredibly convenient, and there were plenty of restaurants, shops, and attractions within walking distance. Our room was comfortable and well-maintained, with a beautiful view that made our stay even more enjoyable. One of my favorite features was the heated Japanese toilet with the built-in bidet that cleaned and dried you—it was such a thoughtful touch and added an extra level of comfort! The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, making us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable hotel in an unbeatable location with outstanding service, I highly recommend Four Points Flex by Sheraton Tokyo Ueno. I would gladly stay here again!
It's a very practical and functional business hotel for a single person. Unfortunately, I was neither on business or single 😞, so it felt very crammed in the rooms. Plus we were on a week long Tokyo trip on vacation, so we were carrying large suitcases which had no space at all. My kids also did not enjoy the limited space in the room which was barely enough for one person to walk. I know that Tokyo hotel rooms are very small but this was something we were not prepared for. The staff were very nice let us check in early when we arrived at 10 am. The rooms were very clean and functional, the beds were comfortable but still tight for two people. Over all it was a normal experience. The photos on the site are deceptive and looks bigger, so be Informed that it will be small. The price was nominal and the location was very convenient to Ueno station which was a major hub and walkable from hotel.
Stayed in this hotel because of my membership and proximity to Ueno station. It was unbeatable. Twin room size was good enough to move around. Comfy bed, no windows in the room but in bathroom. Room was well equipped except the TV with only Japanese channels. Outside noise was strong (coming through the door). Check out time wise was fast but attending staff made a mistake and my membership points/nights weren’t accrued. Had to contact customer care to resolve the issue. My gold membership meant nothing in the hotel.
Located in Ueno, 5-7 mins by walk from the station. The zone is quite and calm. One important detail to note: the hotel’s location is incorrectly marked on Google Maps and Apple Maps. The main entrance is actually on the back street, which may cause some confusion upon arrival. Hotel is small, only one elevator and for 4 people at most. Very clean, professional staff as usual in Japan and facilities are clean. I'd recommended it for a solo travelers or couples looking a clean, affordable and quite place.
