The Nohga Hotel Akihabara was an excellent base for exploring Tokyo. The location is very convenient, and despite being in such a central area, our rooms were pleasantly quiet. We would especially like to highlight the exceptionally helpful and child-friendly staff. The reception team always made a real effort to assist us. Even though we had made several separate bookings, they managed to arrange rooms for all of us on the same floor, which made a big difference for our group. We also really enjoyed the food, particularly the evening menu in the restaurant. Vegetarian options are available, although the breakfast selection can become a little repetitive during a longer stay, as the choice is more limited. The only minor drawbacks were the relatively short opening hours of the breakfast buffet and the bar in the evening. However, this is understandable given that it is a smaller hotel. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily recommend the hotel for its friendly staff, quiet rooms and excellent location.
We stayed six nights at this hotel and, overall, had a pleasant stay. POSITIVE points: * The front desk staff were very attentive, helpful, and diligent. * Excellent breakfast, although the selection did not vary from day to day and there were no cakes or pastries available. * Excellent bed linens and bath towels. * Great location, close to several well-known department stores and many dining options. * The restaurant on the first floor, where breakfast is served, turns into a lively restaurant in the evening with a modern menu. NEGATIVE points: * The room was very small for the price charged, even by Japanese standards. There is space for only one medium-sized suitcase, and there is absolutely no storage space for clothes. * The bathroom is tiny, with a large sink but no counter space around it to place toiletries. The only spacious feature is the shower stall, which has an excellent shower. * The English proficiency of the front desk staff is only average when compared with hotels of the same category in other countries.
Today is our last day in this hotel, and we had a great time. the hotel is very clean, the staff are friendly and the location is very convenient. During check in, check out, and when asking the staff any questions they really did go above and beyond to try and help us, especially with English not being their first language. The room we stayed in was small but well kept. Great shower pressure at the end of a long day of walking was also a major plus. They also provided water and slippers daily. The facility has a small fitness area (wouldnt call it a gym) but it was nice to have something just in case. We opted for the hotel breakfast and I highly recommend, amazing fruit, quiche, chicken, salmon, meats etc. Very nice buffet that feels more like an elevated restaurant than an after thought. In all, if you were looking to stay in Akihabara I have no qualms. This was an awesome place to stay. Only tip, bring your own pillow if possible. Hotel pillows are notoriously not great, and that remains true.
This is Great a great little hotel. Tur rooms are obviously on the smaller side, but well appointed. The shower is amazing. On the ground floor is a pizza restaurant that has a very cool vibe, with a DJ some evenings. Great location, right if the main thouroughfare, but very quiet. Very close to the Akihabara station and the Chuo line station.
A beautiful hotel in a great location in Akihabara. The rooms are very comfortable and thoughtfully designed, with nice details such as a Bluetooth speaker, plenty of USB ports and an excellent shower. The reception staff were friendly, professional and very helpful throughout my stay. The only minor disappointment was that the restaurant was closed on Monday (I’m not sure if this is the case every week or just that particular day). I had planned to have breakfast and lunch there, so it would have been helpful to know in advance. Not a big issue, but clearer communication would have made things smoother. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.
