Cozy place, perfect for solo travelling and the location is unbeatable. I got checked in by Kou. The process was fast, smooth and I was happy to find out that she was Vietnamese (so ofc we had a little chat)! I also noticed that they have other staff who are multilingual, which is very convenient. As mentioned by previous reviews, it would be nice for them to update the rooms as they felt a little worn in. Despite that, i felt like housekeeping did a great job and coming back to a clean and tidy room after a long day is unbeatable. The location is exceptional. Dennys on the 2nd floor, 711 on the first, surrounded by plenty of food options and a short walk to the station. As a solo female traveller, I felt very secure walking back to the hotel as there is nightlife in the area and alot of girls advertising their club/bar on the street.
The rooms could use a touch up. Walls has damages / marks from previous guests suitcases on the walls, unit bathrooms makes it feel quite small. Good budget room but you're paying for the location. 7Eleven on ground floor is a big plus.
Great location, but there is no security access control. The room is very small and the service provided is poor. I booked a twin-bed room, but there is no space between the beds, and both mattresses are placed on the same bed base. I do not think this can be considered a proper twin-bed room. The hotel elevator feels like a public elevator; anyone can access every floor directly without passing through the lobby. Guests should check the safety lock on their room doors. The reception staff are good, but the overall service is poor. The hotel charged an additional service fee, yet the housekeeping service was not properly provided. The maid did not check the room service, there was no new drinking water provided daily, and the soap and shampoo were not replenished. The used pajamas were not collected even though I placed them next to the used towels; only the towels were changed. I had to go to the lobby myself to get new body soap because there were not enough staff.
What a wonderful experience. The location from the nearest station Ikebukuro station is less than 10 mins walk. Compared to the pedestrian traffic from the city, it certainly offers a more relaxed pace. The absence of the overwhelming density is rather relaxing. The room is decently well equipped and sized, typical for Tokyo. What truly sets this hotel is their staff. They are particularly helpful giving tips for mapping out the train lines to take or where go. Without requesting, one of them even printed out the route on a piece of A4 paper for me to keep. The convenience store located next to it, is an added bonus for snacks and drinks. 2 lots away is a japanese restaurant serving delicious meals at great prices. They open at 7am which is welcoming if you plan to set out early. This hotel and the adjacent restaurants warrant at least one day stay for anyone wishing to experience life outside the bustling pace from Shibuya. Staying for 3 nights in total, it was absolutely worth it. I know I will be back again. Thank you for pleasant surprise, surpassing all my expectations.
Stayed one night,perfect location near Ikebukuro Station with lots of ramen shops and restaurants just across the street. About an hour from Narita Airport. 7-Eleven right downstairs and a 24-hour soba and tempura place next door. Front desk on 3rd floor, super friendly English-speaking staff, and luggage storage available before check-in or after check-out. Room and bathroom were small but clean — just watch your step leaving the bathroom. Great stay, would give five stars for location and service!
