The rooms have a large step into the bathroom and in our room, there was an overhang in the shower that likely would have made it difficult to use if you were tall. The hotel’s location is generally good but a bit far from the train. We appreciated that it was well located to hotels with the airport limousine service and the a/c in the rooms was quite nice. As for the restaurants, the bakery is phenomenal. People on our trip said the breakfast was quite good but they did give you a certain window of time to enter/eat and it was expensive. The grill restaurant’s food was quite good but the service was one of the worst things we have experienced ever— we waited 40 or so minutes just to give our order and were continuously flagging down our waiter, who was very inattentive. The hotel lobby is also very congested in the mornings/afternoons and it’s difficult to find a seat (and near impossible if you want one at the table). Overall, it’s an okay place to stay, but I probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

A solid choice for a hotel in Tokyo. The room size is pretty standard for this city and the cleanliness of the hotel is pretty good. The location is not the most ideal as the subway stations are quite a walk and there isn’t much in the actual area. However, the price point is pretty good and they have a fabulous bakery downstairs - people line up for it every day.

I’d like to preface by saying by no means is a 3 star bad, I try to rate things as fairly as possible in a world of rating inflation, this being said I would rate the knot shinjuku about average for what you get. Let’s start with the room, so the room itself is mostly fine, it is quite spacious also! Unfortunately the thermostat only goes down to 20 degrees Celsius which I felt was a bit too warm compared to a lot of hotels that go down to at least 18. No smart tv kind of hurt it too, but it was fine we got through it. Bathroom is great. Overall it’s a decent room but it could have some better temperature control. The staff is attentive and helpful, you can do luggage forwarding through airporter here which was nice and very straightforward to get our luggage to the airport. They would also clean the room once but replace the towels every day which was more than enough. When it comes to the location admittedly it did become a bit of a hassle. When your feet are hurting at the end of the day the 15 minute walk to Shinjuku Station is daunting! We would end up taking the taxi to and from a lot. However it’s near a nice laundromat, the one by McDonald’s, which I recommend instead of trying to compete with people for the hotel laundry machines which I’m sure would be a hassle. Not only that, but the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is literally a 5 minute walk and cannot be understated as an amazing view of the city to take advantage of. Overall I feel this is a decent place, but admittedly if I was coming to Tokyo again I’d be excited to try other options. If it’s your first time though or you’re into Shinjuku nightlife, if the price is right it’s a solid place to stay.

Excellent choice in Shinjuku! The hotel is perfectly located right next to the park and is just a 10-minute walk from the central train station. The service at the front desk was outstanding, the staff speaks excellent English. We also found the facilities on the 2nd floor, including the laundry room and the great restaurant, to be very useful. The culinary options on-site are fantastic, with a wonderful bakery and a tapas restaurant on the ground floor. The staff was incredibly helpful and assisted us with every request we had. It’s a great hotel with a cool vibe and a perfect location for exploring Tokyo. Highly recommended!

Great atmosphere with a young, modern style. There are several common areas suitable for groups, families and couples. The bakery inside the hotel is excellent, offering a wide variety of bread, pastries, and sandwiches, highly recommended!! The espresso at the restaurant/bar area is exceptional. Breakfast is buffet-style and overall adequate for the price. The staff in every area were very friendly and helpful. We requested to send our luggage to a different hotel and they handled it quickly and efficiently. The hotel also provides washing machines and dryers (three of each). Prices are reasonable, although considering the number of guests, having more machines available would be beneficial. The rooms (as in many hotels in the area) are extremely small. We had two large suitcases and one cabin-size suitcase, and it was quite challenging to fit everything inside. The space is very narrow, making it almost impossible to move around the room. And the bed is accessible from only one side... The duvet and pillows could be improved given the overall style and quality of the hotel. Overall cleanliness was good, although we did find some hair in the shower drain… Room cleaning is provided only every three days, with daily towel exchange available upon request.
