Lovely staff; the place itself is as what you would expect for this price, which is to say it's fine. The big fluffy blanket tends to not stick enough on the sheet so you end up looking for it while sleeping. I would strongly recommend using something else. Other than that, there was no major issue. Location is ideal.
Had a one-night stay at this hostel and it was absolutely amazing! The staff really made the experience—they were super friendly, happy to chat, and always ready to help with recommendations for the best places to eat and things to do around the area. There’s also a 24-hour FamilyMart right next to the hostel, so you don’t have to worry if you get hungry or need anything late at night. The room was a bit small, but that’s expected for the price. The bathrooms were very clean, and the Wi-Fi worked great. Overall, if you’re staying in Shinagawa, this is definitely a great place to stay!
One of the best experiences I have had in a Hostel. The staff was very friendly and offered suggestions on places to visit in the area. To add, the rooms were very private and clean. I had a predicament where I needed to stay late for an afternoon flight, and they were willing to extend my stay for a small fee. Amazing people, with great hospitality! Thank you again ❤️
I was passing through, and needed a place to sleep for the night before heading to Morioka/Tohoku. Very friendly welcoming hosts that do speak english, and japanese. Place is very clean, and nice. Nothing fancy, but exactly what I was looking. Beds are a little hard, but for the value I cant complain. I felt very welcomed. For my 1st night in Japan ever - was so quaint. Many rooms but did not hear snoring, etc from other rooms. Bonus: Their is an authentic Izakaya right next door, that has amazing food, and cold beers. I highly reccomend staying here!
I had the most gorgeous stay at Shinagawa Guesthouse. The beautiful employees made me feel so welcome and provided waffles (100yen) and coffee. Sai also took me on an awesome walking tour of the area where he shared his knowledge about the history and pointed out some great recommendations for sightseeing and eating. The faculties were quaint and well kept. Overall would definitely stay again!
