Comparable to others we stayed at which we rated highly. Washer drier handy but use the local laundromat for drying. While you can hang washing in the bathroom we didn't bother as we had 5 pax. Water station at reception was problematic but the friendly staff gave us free bottled water. Location was perfect, train station only a few blocks away, loads of convenience stores and restaurants close by. Small cafe at ground level next door but always busy.

No blackout blinds / curtains so super bright and wakes you up, especially when our beds were right next to the window. A bit of a hassle to get to from Ueno station especially with luggages, even though it looks so close - need to cross a bridge with some incline. Friendly staff and good-sized room though. Edited to respond to owner: Photo attached showing room as discovered. No blackout blinds partially lowered. Room was super bright in morning, with bed right next to the window....

Very polite and courteous staff, room was a great size, clean, and well stocked. We used the washing machine which came with one packet of washing liquid. About a 20 minute walk from Ueno station which was fine for us. Akihabara also walkable. Would recommend.

Room: You have everything you might need to be self-sufficient, and it’s quite spacious compared to what you might find elsewhere. I slept like a baby during the winter. I couldn’t hear noise from other rooms—only occasionally people speaking loudly in the hallway. Location: Simply great! Easy access to the station. Restaurants in the area can be a bit tricky—either reserve a table or wait until one becomes available. Staff: Friendly and helpful. Price: I stayed for 11 days at a good rate. I’m not sure if it’s worth the full price, but at around $100–150 per night, I would say it’s a great value.

About 1 km from Ueno Station, roughly a 10-minute walk. Best to use Iriya exit from Ueno Station. 7-Eleven right next door, with supermarkets: My Basket Kitaueno and Maruetsu Higashiueno also close by. The staff were friendly, helpful, speak English well and accommodating throughout our stay. The room included a washer/dryer, laundry liquid was provided. If you run out, reception is happy to provide more. Housekeeping is done every two or three days. The kitchenette was very well equipped, with a hot plate/stove, portable oven, microwave, and a generously sized fridge and freezer. Also included mugs, cups, plates, bowls, cutlery, pots and pans, and even a rice cooker! The room felt very spacious for 3 people. A top bunk bed was set up, and underneath was a seating area that could be converted into an additional bed if needed, making it suitable for up to four guests. Instead of a room key, the hotel uses access codes—one for the lift and another for the room—Best not to forget them! Highly recommended stay for families or longer visits in Tokyo.
