One star deducted because the man at the front desk was not entirely forthcoming about requiring the purchase of extra service during the last opening hour. Otherwise, Minami was a delightful masseuse. Even though she barely spoke English she tried her best to make conversation, and was alternately gentle with the ear cleaning and strong with the back massage, giving me a very relaxing experience… it turned out to be great treatment for my migraines.
It was my first time experiencing Japanese style ear cleaning therapy. It was very relaxing. I highly recommend it if you need a break from walking around too much in Tokyo.
It is genuinely a very disappointing experience, unfortunately. 1. The gentleman in the reception area is rude 2. The lady performing the massage is very inexperienced, and applying weak pressure throughout (despite I requested more pressure a couple of time) 3. The room (and even the bed) is small, not making you feel comfortable. There is also background noise which is louder than the ambience music 4. I ordered 90 min full body massage. The time for washing feet and cleaning up the oil were included in the 90 min. I am pretty sure the actual massage is time is less than 80min The only reason I didn’t give 1 star is that the lady doing the massage is genuinely polite. And also, it is Jan 1st and so the staffing may be different than usual. But still, I would expect far better experience for a 15000 yen 90-min massage.
Came here because my wife has been dreaming of getting an ear massage to the point where she learnes how to do it herself, this was her literal dream to experience this. This was also my first profesional body massage. Like ever. Very meticulate with how she covered most of the muscle groups with a big focus on joints that i never even knew you can massage. I felt bad for the masseuse because I am pretty muscular, and my wife always gets hand cramps when she tries to give me back massage, but she didnt even flinch. Highly recommend after a full day of walking. 🫡 Great service. For my American friends visiting. Please be mindful, dont talk loud coming in and take your shoes off, and the most important thing i can say is be respectful to the ladies.
