We really enjoyed staying here. The room is clean with complete equipment needed during traveling such as washing machine, microwave, 2 window refrigerator and one thing I like the most the amenities from body wash till shampoo and hairdryer are from refa. The lobby also has free coffee and choco vending machine
Stayed at Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro and overall had a pleasant experience. The biggest advantage of this hotel is definitely the in-room washing machine and dryer—extremely convenient. However, everything in Japanese can be a bit tricky to figure out. Detergent is provided. The location is excellent, just 5-7 minutes to Ikebukuro Station, one of Tokyo’s major transport hubs, and offers very good value for money. Rooms are small (as expected in Tokyo) but functional. That said, it can feel quite stuffy inside, especially in the bathroom, and guests are asked not to keep the bathroom door open, which doesn’t really help with ventilation. A few downsides: housekeeping is very limited (they only change towels and take out the trash), and the hotel feels a bit worn in places. The breakfast concept is also unusual—it is offered only if you eat it in your room, and it was not very clear or intuitive to me. On the positive side, the staff is very polite and helpful, which makes up for many of the shortcomings. Amenities like toiletries, razors, and skincare items are provided for free, though this is fairly standard in Japan. Overall, it’s a good option if you’re looking for a convenient location at a reasonable price, with the bonus of in-room laundry.
We stayed here 4 nights and were pleasantly surprised 😊 Not to far from Ikebukuro station and mostly underground. C6 or C7 are what you need to look out for to exit the underground. The room was a decent size, very clean and quiet. The windows blinds are truly amazing, blocks out all light if you need that extra sleep in. The shower was hot and you can adjust it to the temperature you want. The toilet is next level, warm seat !!!! The breakfast if you choose to purchase, had a good variety and plenty of it, plus it opens twice a day. It has a child corner and USB ports on the table. The staff were exceptional! Very friendly, helpful and most spoke English. Overall I would definitely recommend the Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro I will add photos at a later date
Definitely will return. Clean and well appointed hotel room at a great price. Room size is larger than many similar price range in Tokyo. Room is amazingly equipped with washing/drying combo machine with detergent, microwave, real fridge with freezer, dishware. Good size bathroom. Hotel lobby has full supplies of self served amenities including tea as well as a great self serve coffee system for free. Lobby also has free of charge water dispenser. Now location 2 min walk to Ikebukuro station need I say more? And countless food possibilities, beauty supply stores, McDonald's , and a super market. A great Eco friendly Room cleaning system that one can select no room entering but with new towels supplies hanging on the door. 711, Family mart is 5 min walk away. Overall a great find and will def return.
Had a wonderful stay at Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro! The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. It’s conveniently located near the train station, making it super easy to get around Tokyo. I also loved the variety of coffee choices available in the lobby. The free water and ice were a nice touch, and I really appreciated the reusable bottle system to help limit cup waste — such a thoughtful and eco-friendly idea. Would definitely stay here again!
