Tokyu Stay is my "go-to" hotel chain in Japan. If you visit in the summer, book a room with a washer/dryer combo. We discovered the Tokyu Stay chain during our first trip to Japan (summer 2025). We have stayed in 3 so far (Nagoya, Osaka, and now Tokyo) and all have been fantastic. Service is excellent: Staff are welcoming, friendly, attentive, and professional. Customer service is clearly a dear value and each staff we've encountered have represented the hotel to high standards. Building conditions are top notch: The front lobby is beautifully and tastefully decorated. Plenty of space to grab a seat and plan your day, do some light work or just enjoy the carefully crafted atmosphere. Staff take great care in keeping the space clean, inviting, and immaculate. Rooms are clean and well-maintained: The room is a bit small but well designed. We have a great set of amenities, including a mini fridge for snacks, a microwave, kitchen sink, portable stovetop burner and, air conditioning that we can control. My favourite amenity is the washer/dryer combo in room. This is a game changer for visiting Japan in the summer! Overall, we've been enjoying our 10-day stay and will continue looking for Tokyu Stay hotels for future visits to Japan!
Overall for one week, it is good enough. My check in wasn’t really smooth though, I felt like the receptionist I had wasn’t really eager to explain everything to me, just wanted to hand me the key and that’s it. Whereas the receptionist next to him, Giang, was very talkative and patient and explained everything to the guests. I wish I had him! I booked a room in the new Annexe building, they gave me instructions on how to go there and said it was an easy one minute walk. But somehow I still got lost! I just wished someone from the staff took me there. I wasn’t explained anything about breakfast either? It wasn’t included in my room but it could’ve been nice to have the option. The housekeeping is limited, I didn’t understand that you HAD to put the sign on the door to have limited housekeeping. On the check in they told me, everyday they change towels and bin. But no, they change it only if you put the sign on, if you don’t no one is entering the room. So that would’ve been great to understand from the beginning. The washing machine and dryer in the room was a huge plus for someone who was staying a week like me! The bed right in front of the main door was a bit uncomfortable for me but that’s probably not a big deal for everyone. Lots of free amenities too. I’m not sure if I’ll book again but I’ll recommend it.
Great location with a smooth and convenient check-in and check-out process. We stayed here for our anniversary, and while there wasn’t a formal anniversary package, a staff member went out of their way to create a thoughtful card for us, which was a really meaningful touch. The front desk team was incredibly kind and accommodating, especially when assisting us with baggage transfer. Overall, a warm and welcoming experience.
Arrived early and staff were friendly and helpful was able to check in to room early. Room was spacious and had all necessities, fridge, microwave and washing machine with detergent. The best part was the room had a window opening onto balcony. - This was refreshing as have stayed in many hotels throughout Japan with no fresh air and no open window. Only staying for 1 night but could definitely stay here much longer!!!
Rooms were very clean! Front desk was very helpful. Communication was very good. Rooms were clean and water pressure was good. We used the luggage service which was about 3000 yen to our next place of stay. They measured and weighed everything for us which was really helpful. The staff were great and very accommodating. I reccomend this hotel when you visit the city.
