I had a great time last night! The vegan gyoza were delicious and I had a red beer IPA and some excellent sake! The owner was very welcoming, and even let me fold a few of my own gyoza! I did a horrible job but they still tasted great!! He also gave me recs for other vegan restaurants and other things to do in Osaka
We came from Australia craving some tasty gyozas, and this place did not disappoint! We had never had them so fresh and made in front of you. The owner takes pride in all his work, he also includes you in making a gyoza with his guidance which is an awesome experience. Recommend ordering big but being patient because they are just so easy to eat. We had never had sweet potato and Parmesan gyozas and oh my god this was by far the best piece of food we had eaten in Japan, better than Kobe beef in Kobe 😉 If they are in the specials menu when you get there definitely try you can't go wrong. See below photo. Thank you for the best gyoza experience.
Such a hidden gem in Tokyo.
A must try gyzoa bar when staying in Asakusa. All gyoza is handmade in front of you, featuring various flavours and fillings (garlic leak pork gyoza is a must try). Vegetarian options are available as well. The chef is very friendly and gave a lesson on how to shape the gyoza which was awesome. Drinking is encouraged and features various beers and sake from Japan. They accept cash or card.
I found Keiskue Gyoza Bar on Google and there are no words to describe how absolutely wonderful the experience was. I went with my younger brother, met some absolutely wonderful people, and had one of the best experiences I've had in Japan. The gyoza was, to quote my brother, an 11 out of 10. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. It truly felt like we were in the kitchen with Keiskue. When I heard he brewed his own sake, I had to order a bottle to share with new friends. It was some of the best sake I've ever had. It was light, crisp, dry and dangerous. You don't taste the alcohol. Keiskue-sama, if you're reading this, thank you for one of the best experiences I've ever had.
