Our family had a wonderful stay at Ueno Garden House, and we would absolutely stay here again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The location is amazing, it’s in a quiet neighborhood but just a short walk to the train station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Tokyo. There are also a 7-Eleven, pharmacy, and grocery store nearby, which made grabbing snacks, drinks, or anything we needed super easy. The beds were very comfortable, and after long days of sightseeing, we always slept well. The host was fantastic as well—very responsive, friendly, and quick to answer all of our questions before and during our stay. The apartment is a great size for a couple or a family with younger children. For our family of four with a teenager and a young adult daughter (who both love shopping!), it felt a little tight once all of our shopping bags started piling up, but it was still very manageable. Although we didn’t cook, the kitchen was well-equipped with everything you might need, including glassware, dishes, plenty of utensils (check the dining table drawers!), and a microwave. One of our favorite features was the bathroom. The wet bathroom/dryer system is absolutely amazing! I wish bathrooms like this were common in the U.S.! Having a washing machine in the unit was a lifesaver for our family of four. We intentionally packed light because we knew we’d be shopping a lot, so I ended up doing laundry almost every day. At first, I worried our clothes wouldn’t dry overnight, but learning that the bathroom doubles as a dryer was a game changer. Our clothes dried surprisingly fast and were ready to wear the next day. Overall, this was a fantastic stay. Between the excellent location, comfortable accommodations, thoughtful amenities, and wonderful host, we couldn’t have asked for more. We would love to come back the next time we visit Tokyo. Highly recommended 5 stars!
