Rating: 6/10 Acceptable 5-day accommodation in Asakusa, Tokyo. Spacious (as of Tokyo standard) and clean room at a convenient location. Good to have blackout curtains and instant water heater in the room. The staff are also friendly and helpful. However, beds and pillows were uncomfortable. The staff gave us extra pillows but it didn’t really help. It also took us 2 days to figure out how to turn off the auto-reset function for the air con (it automatically drops to 20 degrees at night which is quite cold). Please understand a good sleep is the most important thing during a hotel stay - that’s why I would rate it a 6/10. Furthermore, there is no housekeeping staff so we must go downstairs to get additional amenities (e.g. toothbrush). They seem to hire part time cleaning staff and one was so careless that they only gave us 2 sets of towels for a 3-person room on one of the nights. I would say it’s overrated given its price (¥130000 for 5 nights, deluxe room, on Trip.com).
Very nice small hotel. Rooms are cozy and can comfortably fit 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Breakfast can be included and is delicious. Located on a small street makes it calm and quiet. Shopping area within walking distance nearby has a lot of convience and food options.
Perfect Boutique Stay in Asakusa — Amazing Location & Surprisingly Spacious Rooms This was honestly one of the best areas we stayed in while visiting Tokyo. Having the Nakamise Shopping Street right outside the hotel made the whole experience feel incredibly immersive and convenient. The rooms were also surprisingly spacious for Tokyo standards — around 20sqm — which made a huge difference after travelling through multiple cities in Japan. Everything felt very thoughtfully designed, clean and comfortable, and we especially appreciated that there were no unpleasant bathroom smells at all, which can sometimes happen in compact city hotels. The coffee shop downstairs was also excellent and added to the boutique atmosphere of the stay. What we loved most is that the hotel feels personal and charming rather than overly corporate. You can tell there is genuine attention given to the guest experience. As owners of our own boutique retreat in Portugal called Moinho Pangeia, we always appreciate hospitality spaces that create warmth, calm and thoughtful details — and this place definitely did that. If you enjoy boutique-style stays with personality and attentive hospitality, we would absolutely recommend staying here while visiting Tokyo. It's situated in a prime location only two minutes from senso-ji but it's still quiet at night! The rooms are a great size and I highly recommend booking their Japanese breakfast because it's absolutely delicious! The staff are all super friendly and helpful and will do their best to make sure you have a nice stay ❤️
Wonderful stay. However our room didn't match the advertised room... but our room was lovely and we got the whole floor to ourselves. The customer service is amazing, and the rooms fresh, and modern :)
