Location is perfect and the room size is specious for family. I traveled with my 8 and 10 year old and they had the bunked bed, which they loved. It’s close to the subway and train stations, both less than a block away. There are plenty of restaurants options nearby within walking distance. It has all the convenience you need traveling with kids! They also have many locations.
My family and I stayed here for a week and it was such a comfortable stay. The staff spoke English fluently (i think they spoke other lanaguages as well) and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The room was spacious for us and met all our needs. Their housekeeping people are amazing, we got fresh, clean towels every day and they made the beds and cleaned the room every other day. Yes, the bunkbeds can fit a grown adult if your wondering cause I know I was. The location was great too. The only downsides was there was only one elevator and limited washer/dryers, but these were not dealbreakers for us. I would gladly come back to this hotel in the future and I want to try other Mimaru locations as well in the future.
Great Tokyo location with easy access to food, bars, shopping, and many local attractions. There are two different Mimaru hotels in this area, so keep that in mind when arriving. The staff is top-notch and incredibly helpful. They provide great directions, recommendations for things to do, and outstanding customer service. We had a health scare during our stay that required an ambulance and a trip to the local hospital. The staff truly stepped up and treated the situation as if it were their own family member. Their care and compassion meant a great deal to us. They also have a nice rooftop with great views of the city. If I had one small con, it’s that there is only one elevator. It can make going up with lots of luggage a little difficult, especially during busy times. However, there are stairs, so it’s easy to work around if you don’t mind using them. We would definitely stay here again. A 10 out of 10 experience.
I have stayed here many times already and it was never disappoint me. I love how bright the room is and it's a good size for us family of 4. They have self service laundry machine which is very convivence. The location of this hotel is very amazing. You can just walk out the front door and just a few minutes of walking you'll be arriving to the most popular place. The surrounding of this area is full of shops and restaurant and tourist visiting place. Would definitely stay here again in the future.
From my 9 year old daughter: The Mimaru hotel in Tokyo was 5 stars because the staff were so friendly and welcoming. I also liked that it was very kid friendly because there was a rain stopping doll class. I would definitely recommend it and they let you use pajamas and slippers. From me: Smooth and comfortable stay for a family of 4. Convenient location for exploring Asakusa and right by the Asakusa Station train stop. The room had everything we needed (small fridge, microwave, table we could all eat around, washer/dryer by reception). The staff were helpful with luggage transfer and confirming our next hotel. We stayed here for our first few nights in Japan, knowing we would be on odd schedules while we worked through jet lag. We wanted to be in a neighborhood with plenty to do close by so we could roam around and pop back to the room when we needed. Being that close to Senso-ji (which you can wander through 24/7) was amazing. Definitely worth going there during early and late hours around the crowds. The FamilyMart downstairs was perfect for a quick egg sandwich and onigiri breakfast the first couple of days we were all jet lagged.
