Very decent typical Japanese hotel. Two things that were surprising. There's a massage chair in the room! It was so wonderful to use it for a few minutes after long days of sightseeing and walking. The other thing is location, location, location! It's is right in the middle of everything and next to the JR train station. You can walk to the hotel without getting wet if it was raining. If you are an anime, manga or model trains fan, this is the location to be in Tokyo! Everything within walking distance. I was able to hit 8 model trains store in a day by foot. Bring a big suitcase. 😃
So its expected that tokyo rooms are small but my son's mum in law were sharing and we settled into it. Showers are great, little fridge and good air con. Tv was nice. It is perfect location and make alot of getting around easy. Staff were excellent on a daily basis.
Rooms are just a bit bigger than APA, but feel more comfortable and nicer. The staff is also friendlier, at least compared to the two APA we stayed at in the past. We have an amazing view on Akiba, including on the Skytree, and the hotel is really well situated. It's in the station, but the rooms are nevertheless quiet and we have no trouble sleeping. We love how close to everything it is, while still being quiet. If they could offer rooms with bigger space and beds, it'd be absolutely perfect.
Great economical hotel. Rooms are small, if you have large luggage I wouldn't stay here. Great if you are a light packer or forwarded your luggage. Akihabara area underneath the hotel is very lively area but hotel room is still quiet. The shower is amazing, if you are a tall person, the shower makes it worth it. Rooms are fairly clean, a few stains on the carpet but nothing horrifying. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. One small note for my British/Irish friends, if you are a tea drinker bring your own tea. The breakfast tea provided has powdered honey and sweetner in it, which makes it horrendously sweet. But there is a proper kettle which is great.
Fantastic hotel for the price. Beds are very comfy, our room was spacious and damn near silent despite being right next to Akihabara Station. The breakfast add-on is also worth it, the food they serve is very tasty. My only nitpick is that the elevators are slow and too few in number so you'll wait a while for them. You do get a great view of the trains going by while you're waiting though.
