I booked this hotel twice during my recent trip to Japan and I loved it! The room was big enough for my friend and I & the view from the 16 and 17th floor was spectacular. Hotel staff are very friendly and always greet you in the lobby and at the lift. Really wanted to try the gym and pool but sadly didn’t have time for this so can’t comment on these facilities but the room comes stacked with amenities like cleansers, brushes and towels. It’s clean and has everything you need. The location is not bad at all either and very easily walkable to stations and the Senso-Ji temple. The self checkout process was easy and straightforward too, with handy luggage scales and a cloak room too to store luggage! Checkout at 12pm is also much appreciated as most other hotels are 11am.
Superb location but literally just didn’t sleep a wink the entire time I was here to the point where I cried!! Across 4 nights I think I slept about 6 hours. There was one night where I definitely did not sleep for a single minute. The room itself is sooo noisy, the air conditioner kept me awake rattling all night and in the mornings there was loud building work and lots of banging and noise. The bed was not comfortable. The pool also discriminates against those with tattoos FYI if this is you, you will not be allowed inside without a full body suit on. The rooms were clean and tidy, but expect the usual very small bed and bathroom. I wouldn’t necessarily say this was worth the money - especially because we’d booked it for our honeymoon for the pool thinking that it might be more accepting of tattoos than something more public. Our fault for not checking (though it doesn’t say it on the website and perhaps it should as many guests will be foreign and require full clarity before they book?) and we could’ve worn the bodysuit but it just felt a bit sad. We should’ve just booked somewhere cheaper and would’ve probably had the same experience but for less money. The bar charges per seat, some seats costing ¥3000 just to sit down, though the bench seats at the back in the corner are free, and a cup of tea was ¥2000… overall a fairly average place charging above the odds to unsuspecting tourists I feel.
Asakusa View Hotel is a great place to stay if you want to explore the Asakusa area. The location is very convenient for sightseeing, and the views from the hotel are absolutely beautiful. ✨ From my room, I could see the iconic Senso-ji Temple, which was already amazing. But what impressed me the most was the view of Tokyo Skytree. It was especially beautiful at night when the lights were on! I honestly never got tired of looking at it. 🗼✨ The sunrise view in the morning was also absolutely stunning. Waking up to such a beautiful view was definitely one of the highlights of my stay. 🤍
We only booked this hotel for 1 night, but after staying there, wished we booked a longer stay. It is conveniently located near to major sights, such as the Senso-ji Temple, Ueno park, Akihabara Electric Town and the famous 'Kitchen Street'. There is a subway stop right outside the hotel, as well as another line a short distance away. It's also a stop on the Airport shuttle bus, which is very convenient. What I liked most about this hotel was it's 70's art deco structure, the crimson and gold palette which has retained it's refined character even through upgrades and modernisation. There is a grand foyer with a well staffed front desk, as well as a concierge and smartly uniformed bell hops who are very welcoming and attentive. It felt like being in a movie. Next, the room and views were outstanding! Very spacious room, comfortable beds, with all the conveniences. We couldn't ask for more. The top floor restaurant and bar offers a panoramic view of the city. It was a perfect place to relax with a cocktail and watch the city lights below. We had almost booked the new extension of the hotel (Roku Annex) across the street, which looked very nice and modern online, but I'm so glad we went with the older, tried and true original. It was 5/5 stars!
Highly recommended for families! A truly luxury experience! We stayed here as a family of four (two adults and two kids) in the Executive Suite, and it was absolutely stunning! The room was spacious, completely renovated, and offered a breathtaking, perfect view of the Tokyo Skytree. The service was top-notch from the moment we arrived until we checked out—always elegant, professional, and incredibly polite. A true luxury hotel experience. As part of our booking, we had lounge access, which was open daily from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. It offers complimentary hot drinks, alcoholic beverages, pastries, and snacks, and it's completely kid-friendly. We truly enjoyed it! While breakfast was available in the lounge, we preferred having it at the main restaurant because of the larger variety. The breakfast view was also spectacular, overlooking both the Senso-ji Temple and the Tokyo Skytree. (Note: We didn’t use the pool, but it is free for guests over 12). The location is unbeatable—just a 5-minute walk to Senso-ji Temple and a few minutes away from shopping hubs like Uniqlo and Don Quijote. Asakusa Station (Ginza Line) is about a 10-minute walk away. Asakusa is the perfect area for families: quiet, safe, and packed with great dining and shopping options. Highly recommended!
