We’ve visited Tokyo many times and always look for a hotel that is both affordable and conveniently located. This year, we discovered Domo Hotel—and I have to say, it’s one of the best places we’ve stayed. We are a family of four with older children (14 and 23), and the hotel suited us perfectly. The location is incredibly convenient, just a 40-second walk to Higashi Shinjuku Station. There’s also a Lawson right next door, so you’ll never run out of affordable and tasty snacks and drinks. The room is well-equipped with a full-sized fridge, making it easy to stock up on food and essentials for your stay. There’s also a washing machine with detergent provided, which is a huge bonus if you’re travelling light and want to keep your clothes fresh. Check-out time is 11:00 am, and the hotel is happy to store your luggage afterwards—saving you the hassle of finding coin lockers if you want to do some last-minute shopping before heading to your next destination. Overall, a fantastic stay and highly recommended.
The room was more than comfortable for a couple of friends traveling around Japan. Beds weren't super firm like some we have dealt with in Japan. And the staff were very nice and accommodating! I personally found the concrete walls very aesthically pleasing.
We had a great stay at Domo Hotel! The location is good and made it really easy to get around and explore the city. The subway is right next to the hotel. Our room was comfortable, cozy, and always very clean. The housekeeping team did an excellent job every day. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful, always greeting us with a smile and making sure we had everything we needed.
Stayed here for 6 nights in April for the first time. Location is close to Higashi Shinjuku station, 5-10 minutes bus or 15-20 minutes walk to Shinjuku. Very accessible. The room is decent by Tokyo standards, enough space for 2 medium suitcases stored standing up, and has kettle/fridge provided. Shower is warm and powerful, very comfortable. We'll definitely consider Domo again when we return to Tokyo.
I had a wonderful stay at DOMO Hotel. The location is very close to the metro station, which made getting around Tokyo so easy. You can hear the traffic sometimes, but honestly nothing a pair of ear plugs can’t solve. The rooms are a normal size for two people by Tokyo standards, but they are very well-maintained and cleaned every day. We could easily fit two large suitcases and keep them open on the floor for easy access, and there is also a clothing rail with 4 coat hangers. Also, the AC works perfectly, which made the room very comfortable to return to. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean, convenient home base in Shinjuku!
