Tons of Laugh Out Loud comedy! Listen, I know a little something about freestyling on stage and trying to keep a crowd hyped, but these guys are on another absolute level. I fully expected to cringe, but Pirates of Tokyo Bay actually killed it. It is two solid hours of bilingual, unscripted chaos based on whatever wild things the audience yells at them. The fact that they can spin my ridiculous suggestions into actual comedy is a massive flex. For ¥2,500 you get a free beer and the best laughs in Tokyo. If you want to sit quietly, go to the movies. If you want to yell at people and watch them panic in two languages, get to What the Dickens! immediately. Five stars.
Great improv games in both English and Japanese. Really love the group’s energy, chemistry, and enthusiasm. Highly recommend checking out their shows!
I'm not even sure where to begin describing this amazing group of multi talented performers, who put on one of the most fun shows I've had the pleasure of experiencing! I absolutely recommend checking them out if you can! They have hosts speaking both English and Japanese, so you always know what's going on. And even with my limited Japanese language skills, the performers are so wonderfully expressive, I never felt lost following along in any of the scenes or games! Definitely go see the Pirates of Tokyo Bay!
I haven't seen many improv shows so wasn't sure what it would be like but I'm so glad I went. It was really funny, I loved the variety of games/setups they did, the team were all super talented plus they had a live musician accompanying them! Great venue and atmosphere. Will 100% go again. What a fantastic night out.
The Pirates are an amazing group of improvisers and shouldn’t be missed on any trip to Tokyo! This group of extremely talented performers will have you laughing all night long with their bi-lingual shows and games. They are a must see! I highly recommend them :) MP
