I do not live a life of luxury, but this place makes me feel fancy. If you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve card, don't sleep on the free IHG platinum membership, because it gets you- *a free welcome drink (soft drinks, tea, and two varieties of Yebisu) *possible room upgrade (I know I didn't book that amazing view!) *late checkout possibility - they asked at checkin if I needed it. I declined but later decided having extra breathing room would let me enjoy sightseeing the last morning. I asked if it was available and they extended the 11 AM checkout to 1PM with no problems *discount at the breakfast buffet. I think it came out to around $16 - very reasonable for the amazing quality (though the lack of curry was a tad disappointing) It was quiet, purified water was available just a few doors down from my room, it was really easy to get around with its location so close to the monorail, which in turn could easily connect you to other lines. The room was just nicer than other hotels I would typically stay at in Tokyo. This was more of a perk-enabled mini splurge than I place I'd routinely stay, but if you can afford to come here without breaking the bank, you will enjoy your stay.
Stayed 6 nights at this hotel. The location is convenient - at a walking distance from the monorail station but have to transfer for JR. After a long flight, I arrived early in Tokyo - after some wait, the staff allowed early check in which was a welcome gesture. The breakfast at The Library cafe was good and the staff is friendly and good at what they do - although I wish they increase vegetarian options. The housekeeping staff is fantastic - my room and bathroom were spotless every evening I returned to my room. Overall, a 5-star stay at this beautiful IHG property.
The location turned out to be okay if traveling from Haneda Airport. But I came via Narita, this meant several changes. I soon got used to it location which is nice and relaxed. My room had a great view of the Rainbow bridge. The breakfast offered was excellent and the staff service was extremely helpful. The two negative experiences are the only things that influence my score. Due to a flight via middle east my times were changed. I attempted a modification to my booking online and it stated the hotel was full I then reached out to the manager who refused to help stating I was unable to cancel (since when is a modification a cancellation??? As both options appear) but the hotel was relatively empty through our my stay. Second (and this will seem very trivial) the hotel was celebrating it's birthday as an IHG hotel on the day I arrived. So it clearly acknowledged that birthdays are "a thing". Yet on my birthday which occurred during my stay there was no acknowledgement at all. I've stayed in multiple hotels with family or solo and without asking the hotel they have taken the time to do something very small. A little gesture to say Happy Birthday. This hotel just didn't bother. So I'd say it really doesn't go out of its way to make you feel special or acknowledge you. Quite the opposite. Different from other IHG hotels. But decent sized rooms. Great views. Easy access to trains and nice food are reasons to book.
We stayed Feb 13th-20th. It was great value and perfect stay. From Haneda, it was a simple 15-minute ride via the Tokyo Monorail. I had been checking reviews after we booked room and was nervous about heating issues. We did not encounter this and assume issues have been resolved. The room was a pleasant temperature the whole stay. Room was clean and spacious for myself, wife and teenage daughter. We would absolutely stay again if we’re fortunate to visit Tokyo again. Pros: - Easy to get to from Haneda - Quiet Room - 7-11 in Sea Fort Square (note it does close at 11pm). There is a FamilyMart across the street (I believe open 24 hours) - Walking distance to Rinkai Line Cons: - It wasn’t a con for us, but if you’re looking for nightlife, there’s absolutely none. When we arrived back after a full day, we noticed area was very quiet. We didn’t mind as we were exhausted after 25K+ steps lol. - Again we didn’t mind, but you’ll be doing a lot of metro riding to get to sites.
Comfortable stay with great amenities, but an inconvenient location – ANA Holiday Inn Tokyo Bay (4/5) Overall, this was a great stay with comfortable, well-sized rooms (by Tokyo standards) and excellent facilities. The room was spacious and practical, although some parts felt a little dated, which was surprising for what is considered a relatively new hotel. The amenities were a real highlight — especially the coin laundry and gym — and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also excellent, with the library-themed restaurant providing a unique and relaxing setting to start the day. We also didn’t experience the “unbearably hot room” issue mentioned in some other reviews. This was most likely because Tokyo was already warming up during our stay and the hotel had switched the air-conditioning to cooling mode. That said, it still felt slightly warm under the quilts, and we would have preferred the room to be a little cooler overall. The main downside is the location. Being based in the Tokyo Bay area made getting around the city fairly inconvenient. Most trips required using the Tokyo Monorail and then transferring to a JR line at Hamamatsuchō, or taking the Rinkai Line, which is noticeably more expensive. The walk to the Rinkai Line station is also around five minutes, which can feel a bit inconvenient when travelling frequently to places like Shibuya or Shinjuku. Parking was another minor negative. It costs ¥1,800 per night and uses a shared building car park. The process was a little confusing, as parking staff assign you a specific bay, and unfortunately the parking staff were unable to speak English. Despite the location and parking drawbacks, it is a comfortable hotel with great facilities, helpful staff and a very pleasant breakfast experience. I would happily stay here again if my plans were mainly around the Tokyo Bay area.
