Luckily they did have an air purifier in the room, but it was dated and needing some upkeep. The room itself was well sized for the premier double room, but the hallway and room both had a very wet/musky smell. As someone with a lot of mold sensitivity it seemed to be a possible culprit of the smell. It was nice to be close to the station and food though.
The hotel is very dated and in dire need of renovation. Worst ever stay in all of Japan! It was old and dirty. Rooms are matchbox sized. We were a family with young kids and were given smoking rooms which were stinking. One was completely inhabitable so we told the staff to change the room, they agreed to change for a fee. When we denied paying as it wasn’t our fault that the room was stinking, they agreed to change for free. Definitely would not recommend this place to any families. The only good part was the location- very close to Shibuya crossing and all the shopping centres around it.
Only good thing about this hotel is the location. Right next to shibuya station you’re able to get around easily. You can walk to the Shibuya crossing, hachiko, and plenty of places to eat and shop. The room was disgusting. They have this white wall paper, but you can start seeing mold forming on the corners and on the edges of some parts of the room. The circulation is bad in there and it just felt so dirty in comparison to the other hotels we stayed at. They really need to look into the cleanliness of their rooms and the removal of all the mold on the walls. Quite grossed out, and mad that I chose this hotel. Luckily we didn’t stay there long. If I travel to Tokyo again I will not even look at this hotel. Only gave it 2 stars because of the location. I never leave reviews but I want people to know of the condition of the rooms.
Rooms are small, as expected; since a lot of people mentioned that hotel rooms in Japan are small. The bathroom tiles were clean, but the grout on the shower floor looked dirty (black). They provided liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner in tiny bottles. There were only two available power points; one was near the bed and the other one was in the bathroom (for a hair dryer usage), made it difficult to charge a couple of gadgets in the room at the same time. We stayed for 6 nights. Upon checked in, we were given the options either to get our room cleaned daily or fresh towels daily. I think a lot of people have chosen to have fresh towels daily, by the look of the bags were hanging on the doors. The staff were helpful and friendly, couldn't fault them at all. The location is amazing! Right in the middle of Shibuya, only 10 mins walking distance to Shibuya Crossing, Hachiko statue and Shibuya Station. Surrounded by a lot of convenience stores as well. Overall, we are happy with our stay. We'd love to stay there again, if we ever come to Tokyo again.
Perfect location just off Shibuya’s new exit. Rooms are decent by Tokyo standards, and we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade at check-in. Even with four large bags, space was manageable. Pricing was fair. I chose this hotel to explore Shibuya late at night without worrying about transport, and it turned out to be a great decision.
