First ever staying at a 5-star Japanese hotel in Tokyo. It is packed with everything you want from best of Japan (Elegant, authenticity, hospitality, FOOD, view of Tokyo, unique room with design, etc. ) We were escorted to the room by a staff member after check in and gave us a quick tour of the room which felt like we are dignified VIP. Not too publicly published but the room fee comes with access to members only spa area (huge onsen style bath tub, steamed sauna, relax room and more from the area I can’t remember. There were three lady’s at the spa entrance reception and greeted us when we got to there.) And the breakfast buffet! Amazing.
Loved this hotel. The rooms were very large and well designed. The staff and service were exceptional. The pool was huge and all the facilities were spotless and meticulously looked after. We also loved the area, it was nice to have a bit of quiet around the hotel and it was super easy to get on the metro and explore Tokyo from here. Lots of restaurants in this area if you don’t want to travel.
The room is so spacious and luxurious, and room service is so kind and helpful! You can open the blinds from a little tablet by the nightstands and the view of the city from one of the higher floors is so stunning! They give you complimentary chocolates, and nice essential items too. The shower isn’t hard to figure out, unlike some other hotels I’ve been to, and the buffet has a variety of different foods to choose from. I think this is such a nice hotel and is a great place to stay.
Truly one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. We had the pleasure of staying at the Okura for our honeymoon earlier this month, and we could not have asked for a better experience. From the moment you arrive the staff is incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The hotel itself is stunning and immaculately maintained, and the room was spacious and comfortable. We opted for a room with a bath overlooking the city, which was a treat. I’ll note that we stayed on the “Prestige” side of the hotel, not the “Heritage” side. We had the breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant, the Orchid, each day, and it was delicious. They have both Japanese and western options for the buffet and we never got bored. On our last night, we went to the top floor bar which has stunning views of the city. Definitely a must. I have nothing negative to say about the Okura or our experience. The hotel is beautiful but the staff truly made the experience incredible. We had the best time here and will definitely be back if we come to Tokyo again.
The Okura is a first class hotel in a wonderful location. We were upgraded to a corner room with breathtaking views of Tokyo. The room was well appointed and comfortable. We enjoyed the busy, but delicious, breakfast. The plentiful staff could not have been nicer or more attentive. The service was top notch. The hotel feels more like a business hotel, as opposed to a resort hotel, with important dignitaries often staying here.
