We stayed here during our trip to Tokyo in July 2026 and had a great time. The rooms are small but have everything you need, and you’re not going to Tokyo to stay in your hotel room. The hotel was well positioned near two subway stations that made it easy for us to navigate to every part of the city we could desire. The staff were very friendly and more than happy to help us with everything from check in and navigation, to luggage forwarding to our next city. Being there during the sweat and heat of July we also really appreciated the air conditioning and in-suite laundry in our room.

I had a great stay at the hotel, which is clean, efficient, and well-designed with smaller than usual rooms, as you might expect in Tokyo. The cleaning service is limited so in the end if feels like a high end hostel for adults rather than a traditional hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything you could possibly need (except a coffee machine), but it did feel a little cramped. Unfortunately, on my return home I noticed that one of the expensive perfumes I had purchased was missing. I believe it was stolen from my room, even though I had the "Do not Disturb" sign up the whole time. When I called the hotel to discuss it, they told me to send them an email as they "don't speak English" even though they seemed to manage fine with English when I was at the hotel. Please be careful.

Tokyu stay shinjuku eastside hotel Disappointing stay during peak season – standards have slipped! I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past, largely because I appreciate the convenience of having a washing machine and a microwave inside the room. However, my most recent stay was deeply disappointing, especially considering I booked two rooms at a premium rate during the cherry blossom season. Upon arrival, the common corridors had a very strong smell of curry. The issues continued inside the rooms: the first room had a large, visible stain on the carpet, and the second room had a persistent, musty odor. We tried running the humidifier for three hours while we were out, but the smell remained just as strong when we returned. While the front desk staff was understanding and eventually agreed to change our rooms, I was frustrated that the rooms were not properly prepared for our arrival. Given the high price point of this stay and the initial lack of cleanliness, I felt that daily housekeeping should have been provided as a gesture of service, rather than an additional charge. Pros: Excellent in-room amenities (washing machine and microwave). Great location near many convenience shops and local eateries. Understanding front desk staff. Cons: Cleanliness issues (stained carpets and odors) and you have to pay extra fee for daily cleaning. Rooms were not "guest-ready" upon check-in. Location is a bit of a walk from the main train station. I have enjoyed this hotel in the past, but the lack of maintenance and cleanliness this time—despite the high seasonal rates—was a letdown. I hope management takes steps to ensure rooms are thoroughly vetted before guests arrive.

We loved staying here! They had clean spacious rooms for Tokyo standards. The washer and dryer combo in the rooms was a huge help during our stay since we hardly packed anything. The bath was big and deep. We had a fridge, mini kitchen and were able to connect our phone to the tv. They even held our luggage before and after check out so we could explore until our flight! And very kind to foreigners! It was also so close to downtown shinjuku but didn’t feel like it, it was close but not by a busy street so it was still quiet. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel in the area, not the closest to Shinjuku station and the main shopping area (around 10-15 mins), but still close enough that we could return to the hotel for a rest. There is a 24h supermarket across the road under a residential building, very convenient yet dangerous for the wallet as we got plenty of snacks from there. The hotel itself was modern, clean and spacious. I love that the rooms have washer/dryer which is super convenient for a longer stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They can help with luggage forwarding service, just need to bear in mind they accept cash only for that
