Looking for that Tokyo that Anthony Bourdain saw? This is it. It’s a hard drinking, hard smoking, hard rocking jazz joint where local musicians go to hang out and cut loose. Does it care that you have a Shinkansen to catch in the morning? No, it does not. No room for a drummer? He can play on the bar. Sets are determined by who shows up next with what instrument. Have fun, enjoy the incredible company and vibes, just be prepared to see the sun when you leave.
Out of all the bars I have been to in my life, from California to Aruba, RJ Roppongi is the most fun I have had at a bar. Had some killer Shochus, Jaeger Bombs ice cold from their Jaeger Machine, hookah, you name it. The staff are insanely friendly, and talented. They play live music, they sing, play drums, karaoke. It’s unreal. It’s the place to be if you’re around Roppongi Japan.
RJ Rappongi is the place to be if you’re in Tokyo. The best vibes and the best music in the city. Drinks are strong and the music is bumping. A must stop on your travels throughout the country!
