Great hotel 2 minutes walk from Ikebukuro east exit. Del style was a great hotel with loads of great amenities that available at the 3rd floor reception. You could get tooth brushes, hair brushes, bath salts and drip coffee all for free. The staff were friendly and helpful, there were checkout kiosks for late night check outs if no staff were available. You have a 7-Eleven on the ground floor and also a restaurant with buffet breakfast on the second floor. The room sizes were decent and room cleaning was available everyday for you if you wished. Water was provided everyday along with clean towels. There was also a free ice vending machine and coin operated washing machines if you needed to wash your clothes. The tv had a tracker on there so you could see which washing machines were free before you took your clothes there. Recommended stay, wouldn’t mind coming here again at all.
Did a 10 day stay in in Ikebukuro and the hotel was nice, service was excellent. If your staying in the city this is a good way to go. Also directly above a 7/11 would recommend.
Front staff was very hospitalized and 100% service-minded. Room was compacted size but in good location.
I stayed here for 8 nights total in January/february 2026. Rooms: rooms were standard Japanese hotel that were clean and well laid out. However I wish that there was a larger room option. I already stayed in the largest room and found it still a bit small. Service: service was great. Staff was kind. Housekeeping was prompt and good. Location: 10/10. I love the east side of Ikebukuro. We rarely would go to the west side. Less than 8 minutes walk to anything. Farthest place we walked is probably Sunshine city mall. Subway entrance across the street is helpful but sometimes closed in the evenings. Overall I’d stay here again for the location and cleanliness of the rooms and the price. Some of the other hotels in Ikebukuro look dated (prince hotel, hotel metropolitan), or do not have washer dryer which is deal breaker for me. One suggestion I have is maybe try the restaurant on floor 2 as it seemed very popular with the locals. I saw no foreigners there for lunch but a huge line of locals multiple days in a row. Must be good.
Across the street from Ikebukuro station, with a 7-Eleven on ground floor, this is a convenient hotel to stay at in Ikebukuro. Lots of restaurants and shopping within a few blocks. Rooms were reasonable and clean. Bathroom was fine. Toilet was in separate room from shower, which made it more convenient for multiple people. Our room had a nice view of the sunrise. Onsen on the top floor had an even more amazing view. The highlight for me was the breakfast. At first glance, it seems small, but the quality and variety was impressive. Both japanese and western style dishes were available. Everything tasted great. Fuwa pancakes were fluffy and all you can eat. I liked their jams, which I think were made in house. I also enjoyed their ochazuke very much. The dashi had a subtle, delicate clam flavor. The staff and atmosphere reminded me a little of Coffee Prince or Cafe Funiculi Funicula. The food here was better than what I had at the New Years Day dinner buffet at Metropolitan Hotel Ikebukuro. They let us store luggage here for several days before check-in and for a few hours also after check-out. They have coin-operated automated laundry machines on second floor, as well as ironing/steaming machine in each room. No free bottles of water are provided here, but there is a water dispenser in the laundry room.
