Great location, with great service. 10mins walking distance within major train station to Haneda airport and other part of Tokyo. The ramen, onsen and comics are great, yet the location does get a bit quiet after dark in comparing to shinjuku or shibuya

I have stayed at many Dormy Inn hotels throughout Japan over the years, and they have always been among my favorite hotel chains. Because of those consistently positive experiences, I chose Dormy Inn Premium Ginza for this stay without hesitation. My husband and I live in Japan, and we booked this hotel to enjoy a few relaxing days while renovation work was being done at our home. One of the main reasons we chose Dormy Inn was the public onsen. We truly appreciate Japanese bathing culture, and relaxing in a clean, well-maintained public bath is one of the highlights of staying at this hotel chain. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and comfortable. The rooms were nice, the facilities were well maintained, and the staff were polite and professional. Unfortunately, our entire stay was overshadowed by what happened in the public bath. On multiple occasions, I observed guests entering the bath without showering properly beforehand. Most of these guests appeared to be chinese tourists (because speaking Chinese). Watching people enter a communal bath without washing themselves first was extremely unhygienic and honestly quite disgusting. It completely ruined the experience for me. After witnessing this several times, I no longer felt comfortable using the onsen for the remainder of our stay, which was incredibly disappointing because it was one of the main reasons we had booked this hotel in the first place. I mentioned my concerns to a female staff member. She was polite and explained that showering before entering the bath is indeed one of the hotel’s rules. She also said that staff would warn anyone they saw violating the rules. While I appreciated her response, I honestly don’t think this is enough. Unless a staff member is constantly monitoring the changing room and bathing area, these situations are almost impossible to prevent. I believe the hotel should communicate the bathing etiquette much more clearly, especially to tourists who may not be familiar with Japanese onsen culture. Clear multilingual signs, information provided at check-in, and perhaps even a short explanation on the TV in each room would go a long way. The rule about washing thoroughly before entering the bath is not optional—it is one of the most fundamental principles of Japanese public bathing etiquette. What makes this especially frustrating is that we paid around ¥130,000 for our stay, and one of the main facilities we booked the hotel for became unusable for us because of the behavior of other guests. That feels incredibly unfair. Another disappointment was the housekeeping policy. We intentionally chose not to have daily room cleaning during our five-night stay, which was perfectly fine with us. However, I would expect fresh towels and bottled water to be provided automatically each day by hanging them on the door handle or leaving them outside the room. Instead, we had to ask for fresh towels and water every single time. For a Premium hotel in this price range, this was inconvenient and below the level of service I would normally expect. This is the first time I have been disappointed by a Dormy Inn, which makes this review particularly unfortunate to write. The hotel itself has many strengths, and I truly hope management takes these concerns seriously. Dormy Inn has built an excellent reputation over the years, and I would love to see this property do more to protect the wonderful Japanese onsen culture and ensure that all guests—both domestic and international—understand and respect the bathing etiquette. Everyone deserves to enjoy the public bath in a clean, relaxing, and hygienic environment. Unfortunately, because I was unable to enjoy one of the hotel’s main attractions, I would not choose to stay at this location again.

This was the first hotel I stayed at for my very first trip ever to Japan and I cannot be more impressed. The staff are so lovely and accommodating, the rooms were neat and clean and the amenities were wonderful. You have no idea how amazing it was to come back after a long day of walking and soak in the onsen. My husband has tattoos and the staff happily provided stickers to cover them so he could enjoy as well. Additionally, they serve free ramen every night at 9:30pm that is DELICIOUS 😋. Literally the only negative thing I can comment on is that the pillows were a little firm for me, but if that's the only complaint I have the place is basically perfect. Absolutely recommend a stay at this gem of a hotel.

We stayed at Dormy Inn Premium Ginza and it turned out to be a really solid choice. First off, the location is excellent.. about a 5 minute walk to the main Ginza area, so everything is very accessible. They also have on site underground parking, which was 3,000 yen per night—pretty reasonable for this part of Tokyo. The rooms are on the smaller side, but that’s expected in the city. They’re cozy, clean, and functional and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The standout for me was definitely the public bath/onsen. It’s open 24 hours, which is a huge plus.. you can go anytime, even late at night after a long day out. Really nice way to unwind. They also serve a complimentary ramen at night which is a nice touch.. I don’t remember the exact hours, but it’s freshly prepared and honestly a great little perk after being out all day. There are also convenience stores right across the road, which makes grabbing anything super easy. Overall, a very pleasant stay in a superb location.. would definitely consider coming back.

3.5 stars From the moment I entered the hotel, I could already smell a distinct fragrance at the entrance. I later found out it was the scent of the hot spring water, which actually made quite a memorable first impression. However, my very first real interaction was at the front desk during check-in. I was assisted by a male staff member, and unfortunately, the experience felt quite cold. He wasn’t rude, but he wasn’t particularly friendly or welcoming either (which is highly unusual). There was no smile, and overall, he gave off a very distant impression, which didn’t match my expectation of typical Japanese hospitality. At the time, I had just finished a long-haul flight of over 10 hours and was extremely tired. I was really looking forward to checking into the hotel and finally resting. Unfortunately, the check-in experience was the opposite of what I expected. When I needed to sign some documents, I didn’t fully understand the instructions and had to ask him to repeat them. He did repeat them, but his tone remained quite flat and not very patient or attentive, which left a negative first impression. To make things worse, I was assigned a corner room, which made me feel a bit unlucky at the time. The room itself was fairly standard and matched the photos reasonably well. It wasn’t particularly impressive in design, but it was practical and comfortable. A nice detail was the complimentary water and small sweets provided in the fridge. The bathroom was also well designed with separate wet and dry areas, and the room was spacious enough to fully open two large suitcases, which was very convenient. The highlight of the stay was definitely the public bath. Although not very large, it was clean and well-maintained. The hot spring water had a distinctive natural scent and was very relaxing. Visiting late at night (around 2–3 am) allowed for a very quiet, almost private experience, which was a real highlight. Another small but impressive detail was the amenities in the bath area, especially the selection of hair dryers provided. Instead of basic low-cost models, they offered several higher-quality options to choose from, which felt quite thoughtful and well-invested. The dryers worked very well and left my hair noticeably smooth after use, which added to the overall comfort of the bathing experience. After bathing, free ice pops were available, although only during limited hours. As the stay continued, my impression improved. The free nightly ramen was a nice bonus, and having a convenience store directly across the road made things very convenient. The hotel is also reasonably well-located, with the subway station just a 10-minute walk away. It is also worth mentioning that the location is quite convenient in terms of airport transport. A 15-minute walk takes you to a nearby bus stop at Ginza, where you can take an airport bus directly to Narita Airport. This makes travelling to and from the airport relatively easy and stress-free. Overall, while the first impression was quite negative due to the check-in experience, the stay itself became more positive thanks to the facilities and convenience offered. I would say it is a solid choice overall, especially for the onsen and location. As a final note, while the male staff member at check-in felt quite cold, other staff members I encountered during my stay were polite and professional, so the service experience was mixed rather than consistently poor. (Dear hotel, I think you really need to improve the training of your front desk staff, as the check-in experience felt quite cold and unwelcoming!)
