The Grand Hyatt Tokyo in Roppongi Hills is the place to stay in Tokyo! We couldn’t have been happier with our four days in Tokyo, thanks to the incredible, thoughtful and professional staff led by Manuel Noguera, who recently arrived from the Park Hyatt in Dubai. Manuel and the front desk team greeted us warmly upon our arrival and helped us navigate some of the finest restaurants in Tokyo. I’ve stayed in hundreds of Hyatts and no question the Grand Hyatt Tokyo is at the top of the list with their stylish design in the expansive lobby, the swimming pool and fitness facility that looks like a photo shot from a designed magazine, and most importantly, the incredible staff that defines a truly exceptional Hyatt experience! Congratulations to Manuel and the team for going above and beyond to create a great organizational culture that embodies all the values of the Hyatt brand!

The Grand Hyatt Tokyo is in the Roppongi Hills building. It is directly connected to the Hibiya Line Metro. It was convenient to go to Ginza, Azabudai Hills, and Akihabara. And if you take the bus without crossing the street within a 3-minute distance from the hotel, you can get to Shibuya comfortably in about 20 minutes. If you cross the street and go 10 minutes from the bus stop, you’ll get off right in front of the Ana InterContinental Hotel. The location, the sightseeing, and the hotel facilities—especially the pool and sauna—are particularly satisfying. Highly recommended. I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for my first trip to Tokyo, and I was more satisfied with it. (I’m Korean, and if your English isn’t very well, there are several Korean hoteliers here, so you might be able to get help.) Staying for 2 nights and 3 days, I was attended to by two Korean hoteliers.)

Here’s a polished, balanced review that highlights both the positives and your constructive feedback: If you’re a Hyatt Globalist staying at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo, one important thing to know is that your complimentary breakfast is served in the Club Lounge, not in the hotel’s main French restaurant. Fortunately, I booked my stay through American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts (FHR), which allowed me to choose where to have breakfast. I highly recommend choosing the French restaurant if you have that option. It offers a much more extensive experience, with a full kitchen preparing made-to-order eggs, pancakes, French toast, udon, and many other hot dishes. Some items can even be ordered directly from your table, making it feel like a true luxury breakfast. One of the highlights of every morning was seeing Iida. She is truly a ray of sunshine and started each day with such warmth and kindness. She made breakfast something I genuinely looked forward to. Our waiter, Rooso, was also exceptional—attentive, professional, and incredibly welcoming throughout our meals. I would also like to thank everyone else who assisted us during our stay. Every interaction was friendly and professional, and the level of hospitality was exactly what you hope for at a Grand Hyatt. Although I didn’t have breakfast in the Club Lounge, I did enjoy the afternoon hors d’oeuvres. The lounge was pleasant, but I was told it doesn’t have a full kitchen, so breakfast there is naturally more limited than what’s available in the French restaurant. The only disappointment during an otherwise wonderful stay involved my guaranteed 4:00 PM late checkout through FHR. At check-in, I specifically informed the staff that I would be using the full late checkout and planned to leave at 4:00 PM. Despite this, I still received a call around noon regarding my checkout, which interrupted the day and was a bit inconvenient. Aside from that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily return.

Fantastic hotel. I would give 6 stars if I could. As soon as I walked in the lobby, I was immediately greeted and escorted to the lounge to start the checkin process. Everyone from receptionist to restaurant staff and to bell boy was always courteous and I truly felt welcomed. Shout out to Mayu at the lounge to make me feel home away from home. I will be back!

Great stay. We ended our Japan trip with 3 nights at the hotel. The rooms are luxurious. The bathroom has everything your heart desires and the city view is gorgeous. The staff is super friendly and the amenities are what you would expect. Shopping, trains and buses are close and Shibuya can be reached within 25 minutes. Overall, nothing to complain about this place!
