Our stay at Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Tokyo-Roppongi was the perfect introduction to Tokyo. Located in the heart of Roppongi, the hotel strikes an ideal balance between luxury, convenience, and comfort. One of the biggest highlights is the location. With easy access to public transportation, we were able to explore Tokyo without any issues. Roppongi itself is full of great restaurants, shopping, and nightlife, yet the hotel remains quiet and relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. We visited during the holiday season, and the Christmas decorations throughout the property added an extra touch of charm. Walking into the lobby each evening felt warm and inviting, and the staff greeted us with the same kindness and professionalism every day. Japanese hospitality truly is unmatched. The rooms were spacious by Tokyo standards, exceptionally clean, and well-appointed. After spending the day exploring the city, it was great coming back to a comfortable bed and a peaceful atmosphere. The amenities were excellent, and everything was maintained to a very high standard. What really stood out, however, was how effortless the experience felt. The hotel made it easy to enjoy Tokyo without worrying about logistics. Whether grabbing a coffee before heading out or returning late in the evening after exploring the city lights, Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand was always a welcoming place to come back to. If you’re looking for a hotel in Tokyo that offers a prime location, outstanding service, and a comfortable stay, this is an excellent choice. We made some incredible memories here and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again on our next trip to Japan. Five stars all around.
We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The property is modern, clean, and the rooms are in line with typical Japanese standards. The staff was polite, and the breakfast offered a good variety of both Asian and Western options. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the check-in policy. We arrived just 30 minutes early after a flight of more than 12 hours. Although our room was already ready, we were not allowed to enter unless we paid an additional fee for those 30 minutes. While I understand that hotels have policies, I think a little more flexibility in a situation like this would have been appreciated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel.
The hotel is conveniently located in a great part of Roppongi. It’s on the smaller side, but the room itself was comfortable and the amenities were solid. That said, our experience started off poorly. The initial room we were given was on the first floor with frosted windows, offering no outside view, and we also found a spider in the room. We requested a change, but the front desk initially told us no other rooms were available due to our late check-in around 9pm. Later, we were moved to a room on the third floor, which made the earlier explanation frustrating. There was no apology offered. In addition, we noticed a few hairs in the bathroom, which stood out given the typically high standards of cleanliness at hotels in Tokyo.
Great central location next to Roppongi-Itchome subway and Izumi Garden Tower. The hotel is about 3km away from all major locations and 4km from Tokyo station or Shinagawa station. It is not hi-tech and some shared facilities reveal the real age of the hotel, but we still consider this an upgrade from our previous stay at typical small-room hotel. Our 3 people room is spacious, big enough shower and toilet. Will come back…
