Death metal rock bar with music such as Slipknot, Metallica, Pantera and such. Had just one drink and went out, but i really like it. My friend who was with me is not into rock music, therefore she wanted to go, but i wanted to stay. Would love to come in with my heavy rock metal music liking friends. Very interesting.
The bar is easy to miss, but when xou find your way there, you find a precious island of community in the busy and flashy Ikebukuro. I was welcomed very kindly and despite my Japanese being close to nonexistent, the employees and guests did their best to include me. Add to that that the music is excellent and that people sppntaneously decide to sing along and you just have a very warm and welcoming place.
We visited this bar twice on our first trip to Japan. The cocktails are well made, the prices very affordable, and great music is played, as well as song requests being taken. Both the staff and the locals attending were super friendly to us American foreigners who barely spoke Japanese. We had drank enough that we even forgot our bags until we got off at our station, but the staff had kept it safe at the bar for us when we visited the next day! We even walked out with great recommendations for bands to listen to!
