Awesome place if you're a craft beer lover. Not huge, but spacious and comfortable enough. For not being a massive taproom, it has 16 taps; many places don't have that many. I say this because the beer garden in my town only has about 9, and it's bigger, so having 16 says a lot. I'm from Puerto Rico, and I've visited quite a few taprooms on my travels, and this is one I would definitely return to. Plus, my dude Mason gave us excellent service and attention, and he was also really friendly. Something a good person should always be is conversational with their customers, and he is. In short, a great place and atmosphere. Will definitely return on my next trip to Japan. The best thing is I found it without even looking for it.
It was a bit disappointing that they couldn't split the bill individually. I understand it's a craft beer bar, but the highball wasn't very good. Overall, the drinks aren't exactly cheap, so it gave me the impression that the place is geared more toward international tourists. Another downside was the restroom—it was extremely small.
Stumbled into Baird Beer Harajuku Taproom looking for a break from the Takeshita-dori chaos and ended up making it the highlight of the day. Tucked just off the main streets but feels like a completely different world once you're inside. Wood-heavy interior, warm lighting, just the right amount of cozy. Sat at the bar and went straight for a flight to sample what they had on tap. Every beer was legit — the Rising Sun Pale Ale was clean and balanced, and the Suruga Bay Imperial IPA hit way harder than I expected in the best way. Baird really does craft beer right. Food matched the beer perfectly. Yakitori was the move — properly charred, well-seasoned, the kind of casual plates that just work with a pint in hand. Pickle plate is slept on too, surprisingly addictive. Staff were great. Knowledgeable about every beer, happy to make recommendations, never rushed us even when it filled up later. You can tell they actually love what they pour. If you're in Harajuku and need a real break — not another themed café — this is the spot. One of the best taproom experiences I've had in Tokyo.
The vibes were immaculate. Staff was so fun to talk to while getting some good drinks and bites. I love the mix of western influence and staff with Japanese influence. If you want to strike up a chat the staff loves to talk to customers. Def coming back.✨
I’ve been here 1 month ago but decided to write a review now after visiting the other Baird Beer taprooms in Tokyo. So far this is definitely the BEST ONE!! An izakaya-style craft beer taproom with a delicious selection of beer (there’s definitely something for everyone). The seasonal ones are something special, enjoyed particularly the Mikan Ale. The staff is amazing, I’m quite shy myself and didn’t really interacted with them, but seeing how the staff gets along with customers and coworkers was refreshing. The atmosphere is very nice. Food was also good, they serve mainly Yakitori (chicken skewers) but also have some vegetarian options, which I really appreciated!! I also recommend the other taprooms, but mostly this one!! I’ll definitely come here again.
