alfie Roppongi One of the finest jazz clubs in Japan — small, intimate, and absolutely authentic. Live jazz performances run from 7:15 PM to 8:45 PM, and even after the music ends, the night continues with a relaxed bar time. This legendary club has a long history and a famous, unforgettable host who gives the place its soul. Surrounded by vinyl records and filled with deep respect for jazz tradition, alfie is where the music truly speaks for itself. The drinks are excellent, the atmosphere is warm and timeless, and every note feels close enough to touch. If you want to experience real Japanese jazz — not a show, but the real thing — this is the place.
Great jazz venue with high quality live jazz. Good acoustics, classy atmosphere, good bar staff and an audience that’s here primarily to enjoy the live music. Seats for about 30 people and seems to have live music on most days. Food menu is limited, but that’s not why you go there.
Jazz lovers, this one’s for you 🎶 If you want an intimate, no-nonsense place to really listen to great jazz, Alfie in Roppongi is hard to beat. I’ve been coming here for years, and tonight was special—Japan’s own flugelhorn master Toku played a beautiful trio set. Warm sound, focused audience, and a genuinely wonderful night out. Highly recommended.
Great little jazz bar. The band played a freeform style and each of the 5 members was extremely talented.
