We stayed 2 nights at Hotel Tavinos Asakusa right before our flight home and couldn’t have chosen a better hotel. The location is really convenient — everything is within walking distance, including Asakusa Shrine and Senso-ji Temple, restaurants, convenience stores, and subway stations. It made our last days in Tokyo so easy and stress-free. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by a very lively and friendly lady with glasses (she is from Bali — sorry I forgot her name!). She was incredibly helpful, especially with giving us clear information and advice about transportation to the airport. She was calm, patient, and full of useful tips — she really embodies what great guest service should be. We truly appreciated her warm welcome. We also want to give a big thank you to Bala, who was amazing in helping us with our broken luggage that we had sent ahead to the hotel before check-in. He kept us updated the whole time and went out of his way to resolve the issue. Another staff member (a girl with short hair and glasses — again, sorry I forgot the name) was also very helpful in communicating and following up about the luggage situation. Thanks to the whole team, everything was perfectly sorted before we left Japan. We are so grateful for their kindness and professionalism! Our room on the 11th floor was just right for two people. We had a lovely view of Asakusa Shrine and the temple area, which was a beautiful way to start and end our days. The room had smart luggage storage underneath the bed, and the shower was surprisingly big and comfortable compared to many other hotels in Tokyo. We also enjoyed the free breakfast every morning (coffee, croissants, and more) and the free coffee and water available on the 2nd floor — small touches that made our stay even more pleasant. Thank you to all the staff at Hotel Tavinos Asakusa! You made our last few days in Japan truly memorable. We highly recommend this hotel and hope you continue providing this excellent service. We would definitely stay here again!
A great hotel that offers excellent value for money. There’s a Lawson convenience store on the ground floor and directly across the street is Life Supermarket, where you can often find Wagyu beef discounted by up to 50% after 8:00 PM, along with 30% off on prepared meals. The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from Senso-ji Temple, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, making it a convenient base for exploring the area.
Rooms were clean but far too small. Interestingly the Bathroom was a good size. The Reception People were great with everything especially when my Daughter left her earbuds in the room. We contacted the Hotel from Hakone. The Hotel had found the earbuds and posted them (COD) to our accommodation in Osaka in 2 days time. The location is reasonable especially if you master the bus service. There's a Lawson's joined to the building. Train Station is about 15 minutes walk. Just look around the nearby blocks for great little local. restaurants.
Stayed here for two nights right after landing in Narita and it was a really solid first stop in Tokyo. The location was one of the best parts, close enough to walk into central Asakusa but tucked away enough where it felt quieter and not too hectic. Having a Lawson right in the building and a 7-Eleven nearby was super convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful in English, and the self check-in/check-out kiosks made everything easy. The manga-themed lobby was a cool touch plus the laundry machines and luggage storage came in clutch for us. Only real downside was the room size but that’s kind of expected in Tokyo. We had the Hollywood twin setup for two people and the bathroom was pretty tight. Overall, really good value if you mainly need a clean, convenient place to sleep while exploring the city.
Good layout compared to standard hotels in tokyo. Spacious you can open 2 luggages at the same time. Bathroom is spacious too. All is good and this could have been 5star if the AC didn't had an issue. We booked 3nights. The first two nights we did not use the AC. The 3rd night we were unable to sleep comfortably for some reason it felt hotter than usual. The AC is on but it doesn't flow air and quiet. It does work once for like a minute only at a random time within an hour. We tried all mode(heating/dehumidify/fan/cooling). We didn't bother complaining to frontdesk as it is 3am and we're gonna checkout in the morning already. I was able to capture video when it is working and when not. Good hotel but check the AC if working right away after check-in.
