I had a very nice stay at the Ici Hotel Ueno, close to nice little restaurants and public transit as well as at walking distance from several sites, parks and museums. A perfect value for money and a very warm staff. I definitely recommend.
Good and affordable hotel with the option of a bigger room with a double bed which is rare in Tokyo. Walking distance to the metro and bus station. It was clean and the room service was excellent. The front desk employees could be a bit more friendly. They often didn’t greet us.
Comfortable room, although it was quite dark for us as we like a lot of daylight. The bed is very nice and there’s a good setup for working. Great location with the metro just around the corner and other lines within a 10-minute walk. Solid and practical stay.
The staff was very friendly and always helpful, we used the laundry room which was very helpful. The cleaning lady was always there for us when we needed something for our room, aswell as the desk reception staff. The room was bigger than we expected which was a pleasant surprise! The hotel was very close to the Okachimachi metro station and Ameyoko street, which was very convenient.
Rooms are small, but can’t expect much for Tokyo hotels. Comfortable enough with all the basic amenities you need - refrigerator, hair dryer, slippers, etc. Walls seem quite sound proof as I didn’t hear any noise from neighbouring rooms or the hallway. Location is great, less than 5 minutes walk to shin-okachimachi station, and a little under 15-20 minutes walk to okachimachi and ueno stations!
