Our nine-night family stay at Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo was exceptional from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, the entire team treated us with incredible warmth and care—always polished, but in a friendly and genuinely human Kimpton way. The attention given to our seven-year-old son was especially memorable. He became so comfortable with the team that he would walk straight to the front desk each day to tell them about his adventures around Tokyo. Everyone made him feel welcome, and the thoughtful children’s amenity was a lovely touch. The hotel is beautifully designed, spotless, and clearly very well cared for. Our room was comfortable, quiet, and impressively easy to use, with excellent technology and soundproof windows. Although earplugs were provided, we never needed them. The location was perfect for exploring Tokyo, with Shinjuku Station, parks, restaurants, and shopping all nearby. Even traveling to Tokyo Disney was easy. The restaurant and breakfast experience were also outstanding, with delicious food and one of the friendliest teams we encountered during our trip. The lobby café was perfect for an afternoon coffee and treat after sightseeing. We were genuinely sad to leave after 10 days. Strong leadership is evident throughout the hotel, from the cleanliness and attention to detail to the team’s consistently positive attitude. Bill Kimpton would be proud. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and look forward to returning.
From check in to check out, everything was a wonderful smooth experience. Best concierge out there too. They helped me with at least four requests and each recommendation was amazing. I also appreciated how prompt in their responses everyone was. I felt so taken care of. Felt like everyone went the extra mile for me when they didn’t need to. Even had my package mailed out for me, which I’m especially grateful for. Best hotel team out there. Hope everyone continues to get all the deserved praise.
Beautiful hotel. Our room was gorgeous and spacious. Super comfy beds! The staff was lovely, shoutout to Lax. Street noise didn’t bother us on 8th floor. Breakfast was included in our room rate. Limited options for gluten free/celiac but staff was attentive and careful to ensure I wouldn’t get sick. The hotel is a little far from the train, Shinjuku station is about a 10-15 minute walk so just keep that in mind. Overall fantastic experience, I would come back!

Beautiful hotel. They had happy hour on the roof top which was complimentary and very nice, with a lounge space. Everything was clean. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and courteous. Overall had a great experience. Food and coffee was great. We had breakfast there, which was great. Room was not big but still a very nice room. Location was quiet, a bit removed but still accessible to trains. Also, they gave us a honeymoon welcome amenity and upgrade!
