Keio Presso Inn Otemachi worked well for a short stay in central Tokyo, especially because it’s so close to Tokyo Station. I booked it for the convenience more than anything else, and that part really delivered. The room was on the compact side, and the bathroom felt small, but that seemed pretty typical for this kind of place in the city. Good if location matters most.
Aussie on holiday: stayed two nights. Excellent location with a short walk from Tokyo or Kanda train stations. Walking to Kanda was easier as this avoided the maze of the Tokyo Station. The JR Yamanote line runs between the two. I experienced wonderful sevice from making the reservation to checking out. The staff at the counter are very attentive and helpful. My main room was large for Tokyo room sizes and very clean. The room was on a corner with sitting room, small table, bed, and bathroom. This was very comfortable with ample space for bags, hanging clothes, and sitting down. The bathroom was smaller than I experienced in two other motels with half size bath tub. The bathroom needs better ventilation. Whilst the food was good, I personally was disappointed with the breakfast buffet selection. I describe the range as functional Japanese buffet rather than a worldy resort style spread. They offer a secure laggage story factility. Whilst we checked out at 10 AM, we did not leave for the airport until 3.30 PM. There was no issue with leaving laggage. My wife misplaced her mobile phone which was cause for panic. On returning to the motel, the phone had been placed in a secure bag, tagged, and lodged. This was peace of mind. Good honest staff. Between the motel and the Kanda Station there are many restaurants. The motel offers residents loan umbrellas should it rain. One day I hope to return for a longer stay.
The positive: I was welcomed from the moment I stepped in. Staff are welcoming and will help you check-in, call the lift for you and wish you a good stay. My room was allocated for the night on floor 2, non-smoking single bed as I was staying solo. Absolutely love that the door secures from the inside with a hook, too. This gave me extra sense of security. The room itself is not very wide but just enough space for me alone. The bed is very comfortable & crispy sheets. The bed unit had alarm clock & reading light installed - I used both and was woken up by set alarm at 6 am with no issue. The shower had hot water in the evening and in the morning. The toilet unit was also working fine. I was provided with basic toiletries & pyjama set, towels. I had everything that I needed. There is a working fridge in the room, desk, notepad & a pen, TV, hairdryer. I was also pleased to find a remote mirror which was a very good size. I placed it in front of the window - this was to do my makeup as the lighting is not ideal in the room & the bathroom for it. The room was facing the Main Street but I was not troubled by any noise or traffic. There is also a convenience store right in front of the entrance where I got my snacks and dinner from. I stayed here overnight as I needed to catch an early morning train & did not want to travel during peak hours. Train station is around 10 min walk & pretty straightforward. I was well rested and made it in time. The negative: I could hear people using the bathroom from a room above. That was only when both, me & people above, would use the bathroom at the same time (no noise heard from the room). Reading light had a lot of dust in it (as it flips out open when you intend to use it & stays flipped inside when not in use). This wasn't a big issue just a little unpleasant as it was accumulated over time. Important tip for you: Just a tip for those intending to stay here for the convenience of the location, being close to Tokyo station: DO NOT GET TOO COMFORTABLE & leave yourself at least 30 min from the time you get to the station and your departure. Tokyo station is HUGE, despite it being organised you may get lost (speaking from experience). Because of how huge the station is, it takes time to get from point A to point B, do yourself a favour and leave some flexibility so that you don’t stress yourself out & make it on time for your departure. Well, unless you travel regularly and know the station inside and out. This is a good hotel, close to Tokyo station & offers a good night sleep.
Very good accommodation! Here are all the pluses if you consider going here: 1) The price is very reasonable for this level of comfort. After traveling through many countries, I was surprised that it had only 3 stars. Bc what you get is equal to a European 4-star hotel, only with smaller rooms. 2) the great location. It’s only 7-8 minutes away from Otemachi Station and 10 min from Tokyo Station. So you can easily get everywhere in Tokyo. 3) The rooms are spacious enough to open 2 big suitcases which is rare in Japan. 4) very clean room with a small bath. You can also get free amenities on the first floor which is amazing! 5) On the floor you can find the washing machines, the dryer, the vending machines and everything for ironing clothes. 6) Even if you don’t need cleaning, they're still gonna bring you new towels every day 🥺 7) You can send your luggage’s from the reception easily to your next destination. Btw the stuff is super nice and helped us a lot with everything. Thank you for our stay!
