Option 1: TOKYO: Tea Ceremony & Traditional Geisha Dance
Just 6 minutes from Tokyo Station, this experience takes place in a traditional Japanese house located within the grounds of a shrine. Enjoy an intimate tea ceremony in a small-group setting, along with an authentic Japanese dance performance by a grand master of traditional dance.
The wagashi (Japanese sweets) served with matcha are true works of art, carefully crafted by skilled artisans specifically for tea ceremony use.
The small-group setting allows for close and meaningful interaction, which is one of the highlights of this experience. The host, who is also the grand master of Japanese dance and owner of the house, will perform a traditional geisha-style dance while dressed in kimono and with a traditional Japanese hairstyle.
The experience also includes uniquely Japanese elements such as auspicious souvenirs to take home and a farewell ritual using flint stones to wish for your safety and good fortune, allowing you to truly feel the depth of Japanese culture and the warmth of its people.
