Stop 1: Oarai Isosaki Shrine Begin your journey at the historic Oarai Isosaki Shrine, a centuries-old Shinto shrine established in the 9th century. Facing the endless Pacific Ocean, this location becomes especially magical during high waves, sunrise, and sunset, making it a favorite destination for photographers and travelers alike. Spanning vast coastal hills, the park transforms throughout the year with different seasonal flowers: Spring: Nemophila, tulips, narcissus Summer: Sunflowers, lavender, zinnias Autumn: Kochia bushes and cosmos Winter: Plum blossoms and ice tulips Spring Nemophila Season Every spring, more than 5 million blue nemophila flowers blanket the hillsides in soft shades of blue, creating a surreal landscape where flowers, sky, and ocean merge together.
