Meet your local guide and begin your journey at Sensoji Temple, Tokyo’s oldest and most beloved temple. Take in the iconic Kaminarimon Gate, the five-story pagoda, and the vibrant temple grounds as your guide shares the stories that shaped this historic site. Just next door, step into the peaceful Asakusa Shrine, a quieter corner that honors the founders of Sensoji.
Continue to Nakamise Shopping Street, where rows of traditional stalls offer classic snacks, handmade crafts, and charming souvenirs. It’s the perfect place to soak in the atmosphere of old Tokyo.
From there, follow your guide on a scenic walk along the Sumida River toward Ushijima Shrine, known for its “Nade-ushi” cow statue that locals rub for good luck. As you make your way toward the modern side of the city, explore Tokyo Solamachi at the base of the Tokyo Skytree, filled with shops, cafés, and local flavors.
