Your day begins with a visit to Chureito Pagoda, one of the most celebrated viewpoints in the Mt. Fuji region. Take the scenic uphill path to the pagoda and enjoy the spectacular combination of traditional Japanese architecture and Mt. Fuji. Depending on the season, the surrounding landscape may be filled with cherry blossoms, vibrant summer greenery, or colorful autumn leaves.
From there, head higher into the mountains to Mt. Fuji 5th Station, approximately 2,300 meters above sea level. Enjoy the crisp mountain atmosphere, sweeping views of the surrounding countryside, and the tranquil shrines found around this popular mountain stop.
Immerse yourself in rural Japanese scenery at Oshino Hakkai, a traditional village famous for its eight clear spring-fed ponds. Stroll past old wooden houses, small waterwheels, gardens, and local shops while enjoying views of Mt. Fuji.
The scenery continues at Lake Kawaguchi, one of the Fuji Five Lakes. Spend time around Oishi Park, known for its seasonal flowers and open views across the lake toward Mt. Fuji. It is an ideal place to slow down, take photographs, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Experience the dramatic side of the region at Owakudani Valley in Hakone. Walk among volcanic landscapes, steaming vents, and rugged mountain terrain before taking the ropeway for an aerial perspective. You can also sample Owakudani’s famous black eggs, a local specialty associated with a traditional legend of longevity.
After exploring Owakudani, discover the tranquil beauty of Lake Ashi. The crater lake is surrounded by mountains and forest, creating one of Hakone’s most scenic landscapes. On clear days, Mt. Fuji may appear beyond the iconic torii gate of Hakone Shrine.
