Description

Join us for a karate experience hosted by the Shotokan Karate-do International Federation (SKIF), one of the world’s most respected and historic martial arts organizations. The session takes place at the SKIF Headquarters dojo—where world champions train and teach—and offers a rare chance to learn directly from highly accomplished instructors. You'll begin with a brief introduction to the history and philosophy of karate, followed by hands-on training in fundamental techniques such as striking, kicking, kata (forms), and promise kumite (pre-arranged sparring). You’ll also have the chance to try board breaking, a highlight for many participants, and observe a powerful demonstration by the instructor. On the day, your session will be led by one of several top-level instructors, each with outstanding achievements in prestigious tournaments such as the SKIF World Championships and the All Japan Karate Championships. Their accomplishments include: – Gold medals in kumite (various weight divisions and open categories) at SKIF World Championships – National titles in both kata and kumite – Runner-up titles in competitive national and global tournaments The experience concludes with a friendly exchange session and photo opportunity. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced karateka, this immersive and culturally rich program offers a truly authentic introduction to Japanese martial arts. If you have experience in karate, we can provide you with a more satisfying program if you could let us know in advance what style you practice and what kind of training you would like. Uniforms are available for rental. If you arrive late, the experience cannot be extended. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the starting time.
