Description

Travel across Japan’s Kanto and Kansai regions on a well-paced 6-day guided tour. Begin in Tokyo with airport pickup from Narita or Haneda and an overnight stay in the city. The next day, see Senso-ji Temple, Nakamise-dori, Tokyo Skytree from afar, the Imperial Palace’s Nijubashi Bridge, and Shinjuku’s Kabukicho before continuing to a hot spring hotel near Mount Fuji. On the following day, visit Mount Fuji 5th Station. If it is closed due to weather, you may visit the Mount Fuji World Heritage Center instead, or request a full refund of the affected booking. Continue to Oshino Hakkai and Bussharito Heiwa Park, then travel to Nagoya for free time at Osu Shopping District. The tour then moves to Kyoto for Nagoya Castle, Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), Gion, Yasaka Shrine, Hanamikoji Street, and the Kamo River. The next day takes you to Kyoto Imperial Palace and the vermilion torii gates of Fushimi Inari Taisha, then to Nara Park and Kasuga Taisha Shrine. In Osaka, visit Osaka Castle Park, shop in Shinsaibashi, and try local food around Dotonbori. After breakfast on the final morning, make your own way to Kansai International Airport by public transportation. Stay in 4–5 star hotels in Tokyo, the Mount Fuji area, Nagoya, Kyoto, and Osaka. Selected Japanese-style meals are included, including dinner at the hot spring hotel. In spring and autumn, extra scenic stops may be added depending on weather and the arrival date.
