Meet your Hungarian-speaking guide and set off on a walking tour in Tokyo. Begin at the Meiji Shrine, where you’ll learn about the Shinto religion, the history of the Meiji period, and the modernization of Japan. Your guide will explain the meaning of the torii gates, the big barrels, how to make a wish, and what shinto means to the Japanese people and what is the connection of this shrine to the emperial family, meanwhile strolling in a century-old forest in the middle of the city. Even in summer it is a refreshment to walk in the shadows listening to bird songs (sometimes just crows, sorry...) despite being in the very heart of a megapolis! Next, head to Takeshita Street, a bustling fashion and pet cafe street. Shop for souvenirs, anime merchandise, or try some unique street food. Only just window-shopping is fun on this vibrant street! Finally, make your way to Shibuya, Tokyo’s favorite entertainment district. Cross the world’s busiest pedestrian crossing and hear the story of Hachi, the world’s most loyal dog. (Tour ends here - weather you want to further experience this region by yourself or head back to your hotel, our tour guide will provide transportation information for you if you need.) Throughout the tour, your guide will share interesting facts and insights about everyday life in Tokyo, from social security to the latest news and trends. • This tour is conducted in Hungarian. This tour is family friendly! Children up to 12 years old join for 50% discount. The tour is mainly flat and stroller friendly with some steps at the shrine. (But be prepared to walk a lot! (approx.3-4km) Tour ends at Shibuya station, allowing for further exploration. Our guide will explain how to get back to your hotel or your preferred next stop, if needed.
