Step aboard a traditional yakatabune, a Japanese-style houseboat once used by samurai and aristocrats for leisure and entertainment. Today, it offers travelers a rare opportunity to experience Japanese culture while sailing through the scenic Tokyo Bay.
As you cruise past Tokyo’s iconic skyline and waterfront sights, sit back and relax on the spacious deck or inside the cozy cabin. A skilled musician will perform live shamisen music — a classical Japanese three-stringed instrument known for its rich, soulful sound. It’s a calming and cultural experience that connects you to the heart of old Japan.
During the cruise, you’ll enjoy a hot pot (sukiyaki-style) meal along with free-flowing soft drinks. Pork or vegetarian meal options are available upon request in advance.

Important Information
- Due to the seating arrangements and limited space on the Yakatabune boat, shared tables may be required, and in accordance with Japanese cultural practices, you will need to remove your shoes to participate in this trip.
- Boarding on SINA boats 1 OR 2 will be random based on the day's traffic.
- Leave a note 3 days earlier if need beef change to pork or non-strict vegetarian (remove meat, leave vegetables with sweet soy sauce soup)
- You need to arrange your own transportation between Tokyo Tower and Etchūjima Pier.
- The traditional Japanese performances onboard are not in a fixed format, and different professionals may perform on a daily basis. The main image is just one of the performances
- Please provide the names of all travellers. Failure to do so will be considered a voluntary forfeiture of insurance, and we will not assume any liability in case of any emergency
