Step into the world of Japanese manga at Manga School Nakano, led by professional manga artists with decades of experience in Japan’s comic industry. In this 2-hour, small-group class, you’ll learn the fundamental techniques of manga illustration, from sketching and inking to applying screentones and highlights. Your instructor will guide you step by step — explaining the differences between Japanese and Western character design, how facial proportions express personality, and how to create your own manga hero. Whether you’re a total beginner or already love drawing, you’ll enjoy the creative process of transforming your ideas into manga form. All tools are provided, including G-pens, ink, screentones, and manga paper. At the end, you’ll take home your finished artwork — a one-of-a-kind souvenir drawn by you!
