This is a small group tour led by a local guide in English. Waseda is a calm student district with several well-known schools. It is just a 13-minute train ride from Otemachi Station, which is within walking distance of Tokyo Station. Step into the peaceful and intellectual heart of Tokyo on a walking tour through Waseda. Experience the differences in worship practices between Shinto and Buddhism. Visit Anahachiman Shrine, a historic shrine famous for bringing good fortune, especially in matters of wealth. Learn about its most popular charm, the “Ichiyō Raifuku” talisman, available only from the winter solstice to Setsubun. Next, head to Hōrinji Temple, known for its beautiful hanachōzu—flower-decorated water basins—and its seasonal decorative displays.
