I especially loved the common area on the entrance floor. It has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it easy to relax and meet other travelers. There is a shared kitchen and several useful amenities. I also really liked how the hostel encourages guests to cook and share dishes from their own countries with others. It’s a perfect place to socialize and make new friends. What I appreciated the most was the staff. The reception team and the rest of the staff were all incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. They made me feel safe, comfortable, and truly at home during my stay. I would especially like to thank Takashi-san and Rie-san. They were by far the best English-speaking Japanese people I met during my 18 days in Tokyo. Their communication style was always warm, professional, and genuinely helpful.
This is an awesome little hostel. We ended up staying about 4 days and 3 nights and it was a very pleasant experiance. Keep in mind that this is a hostel and that you will have to share bathrooms and individual showers with other guests (1 male and 1 female bathroom per floor shared by about 6 guestrooms with about 2 showers per bathroom). On our final day, pretty much every room was occupied and it was no problem at all with hot water. The rooms are a bit small and there are bunkbed but they are quiet comfy and it was quiet the entire time. This place is smack dab in the middle of everything in the area. You are within walking distance of hundreds of restraints, thousands of shops, and the sky tree is about a 20-30 minute hike. The train/subway station that will directly take you to the airport is only about 400 meters away, so it is possible to walk to Sakura Hostel without the need of a cab. There is an awesome little vinyl record whiskey bar right next door that has an amazing vibe and hundreds of records you can browse and listen to. The service here is absolutely amazing and the food they will prepare for you is very reasonable and surprising delicious. You are not allowed to eat or drink anything in the rooms, aside from water, but the common area at the front desk is always avaliable, and they will cook for you at anytime during the day or night, provided one of their many cooks are avaliable. Final thoughts: this place isint for everyone, especially if you are anti-social or require extreme privacy but the experiance more than makes up for it. I will definitely visit this location again someday when I return to Japan.

The hostel has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The staff were extremely kind, helpful, and always ready to assist with any questions we had. They spoke good English and helped make our stay in Tokyo much easier. The location is also excellent. It’s in the heart of Asakusa, within walking distance of famous attractions like Senso-ji Temple, as well as many restaurants, convenience stores, and local shops. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the shared facilities were well maintained throughout our stay. The common areas were also great for relaxing and meeting other travelers. Overall, staying at Sakura Hostel Asakusa for over two weeks was a great experience. It’s an excellent option for travelers looking for affordable accommodation, a great location, and a warm, social atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it and would happily stay there again. The location is also very convenient. It’s close to Akihabara and Senso-ji Temple, within walking distance to Ueno and Tokyo Skytree, and there are many souvenir shops around the area.

A cozy little place to sleep and recharge after long days in the city. Mostly just the essentials here but that's what I wanted. Senso-ji is a short walk away so you will become spoiled by having such an iconic temple down the street. And of course shopping, dinning and convenience stores are nearby. Getting laundry done when you want to will probably be a long shot but they do have it. The showers were nice and hot with good pressure. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Sakura Hostel was always a welcomed sight at the end of a long day.
