Reviews
Good, cheap, no frills accommodation. Clean bathroom with bidet toilets, soap, shampoo, and hairdryer were provided. The bed was relatively spacious and comfortable. The staffs, Rowena-san and the Indian lady were all very kind and helpful. The wifi could be a bit slow though, especially at night. It's located in a quiet neighborhood near Tokyo Tower, and it was fun to stroll around here.
I arrived at this hostel after midnight on a rainy night, and the cozy atmosphere and comfortable bed were the perfect welcome. While I arrived via Uber from Tokyo Station, the location is very accessible and easy to find even if you take the subway. The best part of this place is the unbeatable location. It’s just a short walk to Shiba Park and Zojoji Temple, and you get a stunning view of Tokyo Tower right nearby. It was the highlight of my morning walks. On my final day, I had a bit of an episode where my suitcase went missing for a moment. I was so worried, but after calling the emergency line, a gentleman (who seemed to be the owner) came right away and resolved everything with great kindness. I’m so grateful for the friendly staff and the clean, affordable facilities. I’ll definitely be choosing this place again for my next Tokyo trip!
Overall a decent experience. The facilities were modern and generally clean but very cheap (bathroom walls appeared to be made of foam). The beds were comfortable and locker storage was included. However, curtain was loud and inconvenient, it was extremely hot and the lights were on all night making it difficult to sleep as the curtain was not block out. Additionally, you could hear every single noise throughout the night. While staff were helpful for check in, we didn’t entirely feel welcome and witnessed a few unnecessarily aggressive interactions between staff and other guests over minor issues. Quiet hours were 11pm-6am during which you were prompted to use the communal area however this area, the lounge and kitchen closed at 9pm which was inconvenient. It was extremely close to the station which was ideal with large luggages. Good for short stays and accessibility to train station but would not recommend for a relaxing time, social experience or hospitable customer service.
